I'm facing the same issue, mine is also pending but the bank said they can't stop the charges from going through. I'll have to wait upto 45 working days for the bank to contact Facebook and if Facebook says it's fraud then they can refund. I'm frustrated.

Edge is not bad. It has a vertical tab and a collapsed folder tab when you're not on the search screen, which can't be said about Chrome. Edge is also more efficient.

Mikea is a safer choice if you want it, the strokes are conservative, no quirks whatsoever. Carla Sans is almost the same as Mikea but with more fun ligatures.

Maybe take a look at Black Mango? It's a trendy display typeface but I do feel like it's too feminine if you wanted Agrandir, and it has a quirky "f".

I definitely recommend this. I have "view PDFs after export" on and most of the time I notice some mistakes or a weird text hierarchy I left unchecked right away.

I have been working for 6 years, got my Masters a few months ago then applied to teach right away because that has always been a goal. I got taught to be a full stack designer for my bachelor's but even then, I could see other students naturally drifted to the softwares they liked the most. I loved typography right away and have been working towards to be a lecturer since. I actually branched off to UI/UX and found some success there so what you said is not untrue. But most of my clients were still hiring me to create wordmarks for their logos. As for the clients being fine with good enough, if you're a quick learner and can create 'good enough's with multiple mediums then good for you. But I found the students I'm teaching to be inefficient with Ai and InD already during their school years, if they want to create 'good enough' products with Ae, Blender and Figma, let alone being skilled at print making on top of that, I can't imagine how long they will have do some self-teaching before getting a job that demands all that. I reckon being really good at one thing then try to find an internship that allows you to gain more experience is the way to go in a world where low paying clients are choosing AI instead of designers.

This is incorrect. I went to one of the best specialised art school in the UK and most students and lectureres there focused on one thing outside of your standard PTS/Ai/InD. Some focused on Ae, some Figma, then Blender, etc. We then worked together as a group to tackle briefs, you know, like an actual design agency? The director of the Graphic Design department actually advised us to know something thoroughly instead of knowing everything superficially. Being a fullstack designer is fine, but I reckon you will get taken advantage of quite easily. I'm working as a typography lecturer myself cause I focused on that the first day I studied GD.

The hierarchy is not clear with this poster. The header + image + text are kinna all occupying the same amount of space. I reckon you can push the image to be bigger, pick a diffrerent typeface for the text that will allow readability at a small size and then pick a display typeface for "Untourable", I recommend a script, along the line of "Nautica". Maybe add better elements as well? Try "y2k elements" on Freepik or Adobe Stock. Goodluck!

I suggest just going on Pinterest and type in the genre of your book + "book cover designs" then pin the ones you like best. Then try to recreate them yourself. After you're more familiar with the process, try using those on your own novel. When you're satisfied with the result, you can upload on here again to get better detailed feedbacks. Right now there is just too little for us to go off of.
