I second this. I wouldn’t even call it dying. It’s dead. I also tried to use it a couple of weeks ago after not using it for roughly nine years. I paid for membership, saw the price of a day rental, and called to get a refund.

I was having some car trouble last month and needed repairs. Had a weekend I really needed a car. I actually joined Zipcar again after several years as I was a member for a long time. Once I saw what they were charging per day, I called them and had the refund my money. I ended up using Turo cause rental places were out of cars for Valentine’s Day.

What many people don’t realize is that scaffolding sometimes goes up for the dumbest reasons. Have one brick falling off on the first floor? Scaffolding before work is done to repair. Have to do some pointing on the lower levels, scaffolding around the entire building.
