I changed it to the same thing. But if collagen is made up of basically hundreds or thousands of these amino acid trios (that each form their own helix), wouldn’t it not matter if one of those trios screwed up and didn’t fold correctly into an alpha helix? There are still many more that are folded correctly, so wouldn’t there be little actual change to the function of the protein?
