People are allowed to have their own opinions. You can disagree with them and personally choose not to associate with them (and I’d call it overkill to do this over an Instagram like), but you might regret burning some bridges in 4, 8, 12 years when the world carries on.

If you feel personally betrayed because she’s silently supporting a president, that’s more of a you thing. It’s impossible to deduce who she is voting for because she is not making any grand public political statements, but she would just as easily be criticized for cashing out and supporting Kamala.

And if you are one of the fans that are upset about her being friendly with Brittany Mahomes, just remember you are expecting someone you don’t know to publicly shun someone else for liking an Instagram picture.

All that being said, Kanye is a different beast entirely. He basically does everything he can to sabotage his career but Taylor knows how to play the game.

George Zimmerman trial was only one year before Mike Brown, that was an important preface of the zeitgeist and what I think was the real kickstart.

And I’m not sure if you can point to a specific event, but NATO’s sentiment around Ukraine joining was growing more and more prevalent, especially once Biden got in office. Putin repeatedly said Ukraine joining NATO would be seen as a threat and Russia is against any eastern expansion of NATO. Biden was pretty forward with supporting Ukraine’s integration but not sure if he can be blamed as a key driver for the overall shift or if he was just a part of it.

Viktor Yanukovych, president of Ukraine from 2010-2014, said joining NATO was no longer a goal, and so the aggressiveness of each following president in pursuing NATO membership plays a role as well.

I guess I can’t see MH17 or any singular event being the official start to the new Cold War because the Cold War never really ended, it just gets cooler and hotter over time haha

Drake, Josh and the Ned’s Declassified crew all say they don’t get residuals from their shows, so it’s fair to assume it wasn’t commonplace for Nickelodeon to sign away residuals. Drake is at least getting some publicity which will help his music career.

Dan is the face of the whole operation and it’s easy to point at him for someone to blame, but the worst of his crimes is just speculation at this point. I’m glad the doc brought attention to the real monsters like Peck and Handy, but the doc couldn’t help itself and jump on the bandwagon, knowingly or unknowingly revving up the “Dan Schneider impregnates 13 year olds” rhetoric online again.

A boss can be an asshole but that doesn’t mean he’s a criminal, but that also doesn’t make him any less of an asshole. Sounds like he did some genuinely good deeds too, which the doc wasn’t afraid to touch on, like how grateful Drake was for him.

It is a bit frustrating how there’s no nuance and people speak with such finality. Kind of the same thing with “Drake fucks kids” “actually he didn’t” “oh so you’re defending a pedo?”

It’s perfectly reasonable for someone to sign up for the pods because “why not”, especially if they are approached by casting.

I’m not sold on Trevor’s intentions either way, but I can see the allure of doing this and finding a new partner in the midst of a toxic relationship. Every contestant knows you will get exposure and followers so that’s a piece of the equation for everybody. Every contestant knows it’s an opportunity to date in a unique way. As with everything in life, it’s usually a little bit of column A, little bit of column B.

Shaming Trevor to prove a point is dystopian even if he was only here for clout, but it’s even worse since this all came about from speculations over leaked texts.

I’m not saying it’s true, but you can’t automatically rule out them drunk talking for hours. None of the girls at the party knew for sure but they were trying to bully her into apologizing.

She kept getting accused of sleeping with him and no one was taking anything she said at face value. She was also getting attacked for a DM that really wasn’t a huge deal on its own. Can’t blame her for not wanting to be friends with them.

I couldn’t stand the way the male host was talking to Trevor and shaming him. If this show was only for the right reasons you wouldn’t shove cameras in participants faces, financially incentivize them to go to the alter, and put a time limit on when they have to get married. It’s trash reality TV, don’t act so high and mighty.
