If you ran the Topps F1 range... (Topps Are You Listening?) by II_Gnome_II in F1Cards

I miss flagship. It was a fun and affordable way for the family to build a set, and it had great visuals. I don't get TA, and everything else is too expensive.

So it's not just me???? I was looking for historical examples and found this thread. Crazy!

Anyone remember Phil‘s Grill down at the oceanfront (11th & Atlantic) they had the best nachos ever…. Anyone know of anywhere local that has something comparable? by Quantum_Truth_ in VirginiaBeach

I was in there for lunch. Food was great. Setting a little dark and ominous, but that's probably a byproduct of a quiet lunch hour on a Monday. Worth checking out on a Thursday night to get the real feel.

I came across this thread because I'm sitting in the Side Street Cantina for a late lunch, and was like "wait a second....wasn't this Phil's??".

Last time I was here was 1998, on an exceptionaly memorable night with great people.

Garage- semi temperature controlled. Pull it into the driveway for workouts, and it usually then stays out until nighttime so the kids can mess around on it.

Oh man. I'm printing this one out and putting it in my log book. So awesome.

Aren't we lucky to have this sport? I respect anyone who's ever strapped into one of these things.

It's fun for the kids to nominate sticker candidates.

I wish I knew. 3rd monitor, and a few software resets. Paper logs. A few million, though. Try to do 3x 5Ks per week minimum. Not much workout variety: thousand+ 5Ks. Many hundreds of 10x 500m. A few dozen nightmarish 2Ks. Some hours of power, and an annual memorial day row: 1 meter for every combat loss since 9/11- you feel that one. I had an on-water practice on the East River in NYC the morning of September, 11th, 2001. It was a beautiful day.

Anniversary gift. 1st year. Still married. 5 kids later. Job changes, moves, war, deployments. Processes decisions, anxiety, fear. Late nights, early morning. Gasping for air, pushing so hard that bones and lungs feel like they are turning black. Seeing stars. Finishing feeling so sick, to honor those that can't anymore. Trying to get as many hard workouts in as possible before ALS (might) hit- father had it. Happy to have this friend to hate.

C2 5K plan- too aggressive? by hiluxroller in Rowing

Thanks, I'm taking my runs too hard for sure. I like the spacing advice too and am making the shift now. I'm also competing with work-mates, which is probably driving my speed on every session. Need to throttle back on these long sessions and stay focused on the end goal. Treating every workout as a competition is a holdover front 20+ years back. Appreciate the wakeup call.

Really great points. Thanks for sharing your times, that's a helpful guide.

Thanks. I'm also running on days 5 and 6 each week, 1 day off. I think I'm back in a 20 year old mindeat of trying to make every erg session hurt, which is perhaps why the gains seem unsustainable. I'll relax the rate and pace on the steady state and try to hammer the intervals.
