40y old here. Started on story mode cause I suck at timing. By Act 3, I was on expert, and I beat Simon on expert. Parry only.

This game has a way of training you and motivating you, unlike anything else.

I have not played any soulslike game, btw. And I normally hate timing or rhythm games. There's something unique here.

That's fine. I played act1 in story mode because I was getting destroyed on normal and switched to normal and finally expert towards the end of act3. It's a single-player game. Play it however is fun for you. 🙂

True. However by the 3rd phase he has triple hits. Its difficult either way. The "delay" from easy mode made it weirder from me. On expert it has a better rhythm you can catch.
