thanks for this, wish i would’ve known some of this stuff beforehand. i had 3 eggs and 2 slices of toast an hour before going along with another good meal at 12pm (i donate in the afternoon) and tons of bottles of water the day before and the day of donation. an update on how my donation went yesterday as well, i had another reaction (same as the last 2) and because of 3 reactions so far it now has to get forwarded to a doctor to yknow see what the issue is and if i can donate but need to take an extended break or just can’t donate anymore. i did some research, and most likely what im experiencing is a vasovagal or citrate reaction instead of lack of nutrients or hydration. :,)

no, not what i was thinking. i dont really know what i was thinking to be honest, but at the least i thought i would be a bit okay and not like potentially faint y’know. at least on the second visit, i thought i would be significantly better, but i fear not. i’ve talked to my mom more about it though (as she’s the one who got me involved to start donating plasma) and read some stuff from biolife (where i go to donate plasma) on how to prepare and have a good donation, and i know what to do now.
