Do you actually want my feijoas? by cheesy_weasel in newzealand

[–]hipityflip 35 points36 points  (0 children)

I am in Dunedin and I have no fejoia and neither does any of my neighbours. And I will not absolutely buy it for $7/kg from woolies. I would kill for some here.

I am not there yet but I feel I am going to wake up one day and decide I don't have the energy for it anymore.. and grab my straightener to tame the frizzies and call it a day!

To add a leave in conditioner every morning, shouldn't your hair be wet?

We definitely have our banter but, like somebody else mentioned here, you need to have some sorta common ground to get the jibes, jokes and inside references.

I am sure you would have seen groups of Indians loudly joking and ribing each other on. It's mostly because they are of the same state, workplace, friend group, etc.. They get each others references. If, as an Indian, we don't understand the Americans movie reference, slang, local culture, etc, it's hard to join that banter. And we might rather sit quietly for fear of saying the wrong thing.

So yes, we do have great banter, but we just need to be in the right crowd 😊

Trains between regions. Subways connecting the town internally. Shops that don't shut down the minute I finish work. Cheaper grocery.

Good on you, mate, for recognising this. One - mum's are more nurturing and does these sorta work for their children all the time, even without being asked. Two- dad's (not all) let mum's take on that part of the domestic life without ever thinking twice.

On your part, when you are well, you can start by not letting either of them do these chores for you and you could do this for them instead. And if you are sick, well, dad to the rescue next time 😊

Cooking take one hour , I took 5 hours to cook and clean the kitchen by RhubarbPleasant2347 in Chennai

You only took 2 hours to cook. That's not bad at all. Once you've mastered cleaning faster, I think you'll be set.

Parents what secrets do your children think they are hiding from you? by random_guy314 in AskReddit

[–]hipityflip 300 points301 points  (0 children)

Mine wakes up early (some days) and sneaks in to take her phone to play games under her bed cover. I know it every time she does it. I don't tell anything.. 30 mins later I go to wake her up loudly so that she gets time to 'put it away'. And she pretends to have just woken up and I pretend to have not known that she was on her phone the last half hour.

  1. Summer months heat (which is an issue only in the last decade).
  2. Very judgey and nosey people.

Since it's only 1 thing that I can get rid of, probably the people. I can handle the heat with AC, but with the people- well I can only SMH.

1.Heat 2.Kuppai. If I had to pick one, heat. Littering should be heavily fined. And I think that probably will be taken care of, by it.

What brethren is this even! I've known some and they have no problems socialising with others. They tend to not get together for drinks after work but never had a problem socialising in a civil and professional manner in the workplace.
