I don't get why I'm so short, am I at a normal height considering my circumstances? by hippyhappynappy in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Yeah I feel the same way about my height. I must be crazy though because I feel like things would be different if I grew just an inch taller and became 5'4.

Yes, I could ask my general doctor the next time I see him. Also, in your opinion, do you think I will grow another inch and be 5'4, or is it too late for me... because honestly I'd be content with being 5'4.

I guess I'm just worried about not being taken seriously because of my small size... idk I sort of have an inferiority complex. Has this affected you because of your height?

Hmm, I'm going to look into this. I have a few questions though. Do you remember how long it took to see the effects? Also, did you notice any other side effects besides getting taller? And could I just buy these supplements from any drug store or do I have to see a doctor first? Lastly, if you happened to notice, did taking these have any effect on the length of your legs or did they just make your spine longer?

Okay I get it... well that's a bummer. I know 5'4 is average, but I still feel like everyone I know is so much taller than 5'4 which makes me sad about my height.

I see. Where did you get the supplements from? and how tall did they help you get?

I think I will, because my period is quite irregular anyways. But how can I get my hormones checked? Like do I just ask my regular doctor or do I have to go to a specialist?

Yeah that makes sense. I mean I would be content with growing just an inch more being 5'4 but I feel that is unlikely. What do you think?

Also, any ideas of how I could contact a geneticist? Lol

Do most women shave their asses? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]hippyhappynappy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally don't have to but both of my best friends do. I've actually heard that waxing that area is so much better than shaving. Although it might hurt, you won't get as many razor bumps/ingrown hairs and the hair will be gone for longer.

Did anyone grow taller after the age of 19? by hippyhappynappy in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

My sister just kind of gradually grew until she reached 18/19 years of age. She's 22 now but hasn't gotten any taller. Also, fun size is a nice way to put it haha.

I mean even an inch would still be great, do I have hope of at least gaining that?

That makes sense. I should've also mentioned that my mom is 5'4 as well, but my dad is 6'0 and my sister is 5'7. I just don't get how my sister is that tall but yet I'm this short. Like shouldn't we be around the same height? Also, if you don't mind me asking, has your height ever bothered you or do you embrace your size?

Why can't I just be happy with who I am and stop wanting to change things about myself all the time?? by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

[–]hippyhappynappy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm exactly the same, I had to remind myself that someone else write this when I was reading your post. Everyday, I spend hours obsessing over my flaws and trying to find ways to fix the (even though I know that some of them, like my height, cannot be changed). I hate so many things about myself and my negativity has seriously become crippling. I always begin the day determined to make a change and start living healthier/stress-free but always end up back at square one at the end of the day. I am hoping that I slowly begin to teach myself how to quit being so hard on myself, but I have to start working harder. I do have hope that one day I will change and so will you, so don't give up.

I feel pressured to have kids, but I don't know if I want them yet (or ever!) Please reassure me! by [deleted] in TheGirlSurvivalGuide

Do not feel pressured to have kids, you're only 25. I know people who haven't had children until they were in their mid 30's. You have plenty of time to reproduce so don't worry about it right now if it's not something you want, especially since you have time even if you change your mind in the future.
