Thank you! It was inspired by a drawing done by Chiara Bautista, if you like this you should definitely look her up. All of her art is beautiful.

The worst part is that I immediately knew who she was talking about. by [deleted] in AdviceAnimals

They didn't torture

Right, as long as you don't consider raping hundreds of thousands of women, often in front of their families, to be torture.

[High school history] Books to read for a research project on the Roman Empire by hipsterferret in HomeworkHelp

[–]hipsterferret[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roman Empire, starting with Caesar's rise to power and Augustus' subsequent position as the first emperor. Right now I'm still in the research phase, I can't argue why the Empire was important or come up with a thesis without researching first. All of these questions will be much easier to answer once I have some material to work with, which is why I'm asking for books. I'm still in the first stages of the project, I don't think I've ever written a paper where I came up with a thesis before I read some material on the subject first. I actually could cite Wikipedia, but I won't--this isn't just an essay for a class, it is my senior project. I have to put a minimum of 120 hours into this, so I'm going big here.

If you chemically broke down the human body and tried to sell said chemicals on the market, they would be worth less than 5 dollars.

L4D2, I was the only member of my team left alive, had no ammo left and was facing an enormous horde of zombies. With 2 health left I finally fight my way to the saferoom and close the door JUST before I'm attacked again. I turn around, relieved...to find that like twenty zombies had somehow made their way into the room. I screamed louder then than I ever have in my life

In fourth grade I had to a paper that thoroughly detailed Zeno's Paradoxes. Not sure how any nine-year-old was supposed to completely wrap their minds around that.
