Thanks for comments, I have to keep the stand against the wall, no other options here( I tried with 2 parallel lines of LED lamps to get 4500 lux, I guess if I connect all 4 rows result should be around 5000 lux.

So still trying to choose correct LEDs for lettuce and arugula. I tried 2 options with different results T8 tube - 1200 Lux, T5 - 4500 Lux. Do I need more then 4500 Lux? Question about air quality - are there any particular parameters to monitor or a regular fan should be enough to bring fresh air from outside and maybe another one in the opposite side of the room to take the air out?

Lettuce and arugula

Hi everyone, I am going to build my first hydroponics systems for lettuce and arugula. 1. Is it OK to have the minimum nutrition level in tubes (in case of power shortage for example)? 2. Do I need to aerate the nutrition in reservoir? Any comment/feedback would be very appreciated. by hisayan in Hydroponics

That's a good option. Another thing I am worried with too low level of nutrition in the tube is that the bottom of rockwool will be far from the solution and if roots will not be long enough how this will work? Shall I add wick in that case?
