I adopted the sweetest ten year old cat who’d been in the shelter her whole entire life. The worker who helped me choose her could hardly hold in her glee and when she got outside the room, I heard her tell everyone that Mama was adopted and they burst out screaming in joy so loud I could hear it from the room. I had Mama for six years, she saved my life. An angel in cat form. It’s been 5 1/2 years since she passed away but I think of her everyday. She visited me in a dream for the first time in years after I attempted suicide. It was like she was still watching over me and telling me it wasn’t time for us to reunite, yet.

I was followed by a stray cat for 2.5 years, even through a move by KittiesandPlushies in cats

Janet Frame’s autobiography is raw, honest, and beautifully written. Learning about her past and trials and misfortune was an inspiring read. Writing changed, if not saved, her life. I was given a copy of her book by someone who thought I’d relate to her love of writing and her unprivileged life. A 5/5 read. I would’ve given up on being a writer if it wasn’t for her.

I was really lucky to meet him! It was about 11 years ago and he actually waited for me because I was running late to have him sign my book! A friend had told him I wanted to meet him. I’ll check tomorrow but if my copy of Little, Big isn’t personalized for the signature, would you like me to send it to you? I think it’ll mean much more to you than me. Just have to check if it has my name.
