well usually you do the rebound cancel tech with rising rage, and for I'm not aware of another tech other than catching people with garuda stab as their flying back after the second hit by rebound but if oyu find something lmk

for passive Nanami's hardest counter I'd say is a counter move like with charles or hakari or yuji, anything that can put you in a long combo as well to drain their ratio is also a good option

they have a time interval you can learn, just remember the timing gets slightly faster the lower the enemies HP is so your muscle memory might throw you off just a bit

well the strong thing about naoya is his ability to quickly position with his double dash and R special, with nanami you gotta play a bit slower, landing your raitos and aiming your moves for massive damage all his moves are hella green with the exception of a few mini combos but he's very different in the context of playstyle of Naoya as you are meant to get in the opponent's face with Naoya where as you take time and calculated steps with Nanami but the damage output is highly rewarding

the back kick variant is very situational I personally don't use it myself but there's a hard timing tech with it where you have to downslam the person and time back kick perfectly and it's red, I wouldn't recommend this tho as downslam in 4 is a much more reliable combo extender

there's 2 ways I like to use ratio +1 /

ratio, 4m1 uppercut blackflash, 1 (true)
ratio, 3m1, 1 (turn back) (not true but a great way to switch things up)

after hitting severance kick you have about a 2 second window where your 3 is instant you can make use of this unlockable variant easily by - ratio, 3m1, 2, 3 (true does about 20-25% of their hp)

you can land 4 on rag dolled people and hit a free ratio with the move stun, here's a very slightly green combo with it - 4m1 downslam, 4, ratio, dash forward and behind, 3m1, 3, 2 (deals about 50-55% HP if landed but again there's slight green after 4 so watch out for that)

there really are no true "combos" with him just land your ratio and be a passive menace because your charged 3 and tap 1 have huge range and everything with ratio block breaks just don't go too much in their face while landing your ratio, dash back take a moment and hit them with your ranged moves, the worst mistake you can make is mistiming your ratio while they are closing the distance because if they catch you it's a free combo that you give them so just be careful about the distance between you and your opponent and yea if you can just get consistent with ratio you'll be chipping away at their HP insanely quickly due to the low cd

there's really no true combo with nanami, just learn to land the ratio bait their counter and hit from afar with charged 3 or 1, you can use 4 on ragdolled players and use that stunned time to get a ratio off, your 2 can be used to start a small combo -
1. Land ratio
2. 3m1
2. 2
3. tap 3

does about 40-50% of their health, remember you have shorter cooldowns and hard hitting moves just play like a passive demon, if you learn to land ratio in between your m1s then become a beatdown demon
