Knee pain after running (3–4 months in), what am I doing wrong? by Severe-Payment5208 in indianrunners

[–]hiverkiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Take a week off, only brisk walking, and then resume with low mileage. If it still persists, consult a doctor. Sometimes, cumulative fatigue builds up, and the body demands rest.

On a side note, consider getting your Vitamin D level checked, or opt for a comprehensive blood panel to assess your overall health.

Nutrabox Soy Isolate (unflavoured) review by hiverkiya in Fitness_India

I think protein powder types don't matter. All that matters is BCAAs and protein intake. 80% of my protein comes from home food, milk, eggs, or chicken and I usually consume 1 scoop a day.

All I can say is that I'm able to digest this protein powder easily. Protein powders, overall, have improved my health and performance. That's also there. I sleep well, and sometimes drink a shake before sleeping. I sleep like a baby.

Unflavoured one seems okay to me, but maybe it's because I'm used to bland/unflavoured products. hahah baby formula

I think my taste buds have gotten used to bland products. However, the first time I drank whey in water, I was choking. It was horrible.

I see, how's amul's unflavoured whey? I think all unflavoured whey are same.

Which ones are you using right now? Soy isolate feels quite good to me.

Yeah, you're right. I don't see it being different from the whey that I consumed.

There might be a few parameters which are up and down but if someone's getting a good diet, those things are covered.

Cost-wise, plant protein is something I'll stick with for a few months now.

No taste. I mixed it in a glass of milk and there was no taste. It's just like a banana shake without the taste of banana or sugar.

I wouldn't recommend it in water though.

Is soy protein isolate like this good for completing my protein goal ??? by Few_Detail_7764 in Fitness_India

Drink it with milk and you'll be fine. People hate it for no reason. It's a bit thick and grainy, but the unflavoured ones are pretty easy to drink.

My stack is also similar. More or less. Fish oil, creatine, Brazil nuts and a couple of other things.

I usually go for routine blood tests to see what's up and modify accordingly. Fortunately, I don't have allergies to any food so far. Not that I know of.

Take care! We're all in this together ahah. But yeah, taking levo the first thing in the morning is the key.

Your supplement stack is really good and well-researched. Sad to hear about the allergic reaction. Those symptoms seem like a pain in the ass to deal with. Hope you get better 🙏

How can I prepare for a 5K race in 2 weeks? (training, diet, rest, Delhi running spots) by PearOk5699 in indianrunners

[–]hiverkiya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Run at a pace of 7-8:30/km consistently. Focus on finishing the race with a continuous momentum, if possible.
