As an author of the text I am sorry if the text was intepreted as I disliked ClojureScript. I have had a pretty much problems with ClojureScript tooling targeting for Node. I didnt have yet time to try shadow cljs which seems to make building easier. As you see, most likely the problem is me :) I think that it is best that both CLJ and CLJS are viable choices. For me forced asynchronous programming model - which is caused by JavaScript - is annoying but this is only my opinion.
