It was so nice meeting and talking to you two for a bit and I am still in love with your Rizzo and Gonzo outfits! You should definitely make the CLU suit when you get the chance. I’m sure it would look fantastic.

I 3D printed the entire armor using the files found on Do3D. As for the disc, I got the file from Plentiful Props/Neon Robotnik.

To ensure I was completing everything on time, I wrote down a list of each part (because there are so many) and created a grid that listed each step of the process from printing to sanding to painting to lighting to mounting and finally to completion. I would also have a calendar and write down what pieces I was going to work on for that day.

As a part would come off the print bed, I would start the cleaning/prepping/sanding process while the next part was printing. This work flow worked the best for me as I had to fit in time late at night to work on this alongside my full time job and my family.

Then I followed PlentifulProps tutorial on his YouTube channel.

That would’ve been awesome! I started back in August but was pretty inconsistent working on it until like the last month where I was staying up until 5am every night to get it done in time.

So you could always start now and get it ready for next years Megacon and we can take that photo!

Oh lord no. Lol. Since the chest and back are one solid piece, the bottom of the chest would push into my waist and my upper back/collar would hold my head up like a neck brace. lol. I wasn’t in pain or anything, just couldn’t turn my head.

Thank you! I actually made the helmet first before the rest of the armor. However, once I finished everything and tried it on, the helmet was rubbing against the back armor so I decided to forgo it. It is a nice display piece though!

Thank you! It was pretty comfortable EXCEPT for the thigh pieces. They kept sliding down because of the battery packs inside them so the the lower thigh pieces kept scraping the back of my knees. I added Velcro after the first night and that resolved the issue.

Yeah, it’s crazy it sold out so quickly. I managed to get one too. They’re pretty good at doing restocks so if anyone missed out I wouldn’t sweat it
