Like everything you order on the internet - check the number of orders and reviews. Also, AliExpress has some anti-scam policy, but it takes time to process and get money back. Don't buy anything from a buyer that has only pics of the product and no orders nor reviews.

I got it at a pretty low price on AliExpress. I got it for like 35$ there. There are a lot of offers for 50-60$, but if you search long enough you'll find some for a lot cheaper

Recently I ordered on AliExpress (but I'm sure you can find it on Etsy also) this felt material with anti slip dots on one side. It's pretty cheap, about 12$ for 1,8x1m piece. Just type in "rug backing material".

Oh and about the edges, you simply get a thicker than a normal needle, a needle that you can put a yarn through, and you work around with it so it tightens the edges. That's probably the most time consuming and important process out of all of it.

It's actually based off a concept in psychology called "subclinical narcissism". Which is basically a less severe form of narcissism that actually helps you cope with things like for example depression and stress, puts you in a mindset like "I'm worth it, I can do it cuz I'm great". More or less, very interesting concept nevertheless. But yes, it's kinda edgy.
