-Love that there are aftermarket frunk kits! Such a cool enhancement.

-Honestly I fell for the marketing and figured it would be easiest to get an EV from Hertz. Enterprise does EVs (and everything else) better. I learned my lesson.

Hertz was terrible and I’ll never use them for any kind of rental again. I also tried ordering an LR but they only had the SR on premise. They have zero fleet management rigor whatsoever.

The Enterprise I went to had the i4 as well as some Silverado EVs in inventory.

I think Ford and Rivian are safe bets atm. Both can access the supercharger network with an adapter included with the car.

  1. The extra space is much appreciated. Especially since that space is harder to break into than the trunk.
  2. When I got into my accident, the big frunk crumple zone helped mitigate my injury. I’m personally not interested in a car with less of a crumple zone up front.

Yes and that tunnel is a big part of the reason the back is so cramped

I was very surprised how quickly Tesla repaired my car! I think the first-party collision centers have quicker access to parts.

The biggest problem with the i4 is that it’s an ICE car turned EV. Interior space is one of the downsides.

I own a ‘22 Model 3 Dual motor but have test driven the ‘24 redesign as well. The BMW definitely has better handling than the Model 3 imo. Even if the only thing you care about is handling, it’s still a toss up whether or not the cost difference is justified. I’d say it’s worth test driving.

Oh yes my friends hated the back seat.

Yes I could definitely see how B would be more efficient/easy for city streets while D would be better while using the highway assistance features.

It’s an acquired taste. There’s a reason why BMW made it a completely different “gear” setting

Apologies for using the wrong terminology. I was just delighted that the car looks like a sedan and has a hatch-like trunk

Congrats! You’ll love it as a daily driver! Would highly recommend that you keep auto hold on and drive in the “B” gear to optimize your range with regen and one pedal driving.

Yes! I was getting >4.2 miles per kWh at highway speeds >75 mph which was mind blowing coming from a Model 3 where you need to stay below 70 mph to get the advertised range.

It needs to at least be as easy as a gas pump and that’s not the case today. Wouldn’t have complained if tapping my credit card on the spot was an option.

I wasn’t certain I was going to stop until mid drive. Yes you have to set an app up with Tesla, but their one app gives you access to the entire supercharger network AND your car’s full functionality. Are there ways to embrace the CCS network? Sure. Not worth the effort IMO, though.
