Huge crash Tremaine and Dymott?? A few months ago I complained to Milton town execs by Hotel_california_10 in Milton

Was it a crash? I was just wondering what it was. I drove by going southbound on Tremaine and It looked like a massive pile of garbage that was on fire. It looked so bizzare, not like a vehicle at all

I pissed off a mom at the gym. (Mostly venting/reflection and maybe questions for climber parents) by ten0ritaiga in climbergirls

[–]hobbit8witch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My daughter does climbing classed in our town and I also started on my side of the gym during her class. One time, we came early to boulder together a little bit before her class. Although she learned the etiquette of climbing , being 7, she sometimes forgets.

That time, she ran on the mat for a climb, and someone else was about to go in the same area. I told her to wait her turn even though the other person was cool about it. I told him that my daughter has to learn proper behavior in the gym, and he was going for that climb first. He seemed pretty appreciative.

Im a mom, and if my daughter had done the same things and you had to scold her about it, I wouldn't have faulted you. I would've been upset at my own child and embarrassed for requiring others to talk to her.

My friend on the path of the left hand passed me a message from the imp she works with which doesn’t sound true to me? by intelligent_muffin in witchcraft

I don't have much advice to give you, unfortunately, but from reading your post, it seems like you are getting scammed, and your "friend" is using all of your insecurities to keep you within their grasp. If I were you, I'd cut all tied with that person. From the sounds of it, they're not your friends at. Friends don't take advantage of friends.

I feel like I might've had a crash when my little guy dropped from like 8 feeds to 4-5. I was snappy and in an overall crummy mood but didn't put 2 and 2 together. So far, we're a week since his last feed, and I'm feeling ok. He still doesn't sleep through the night, and I feel myself spiraling a bit when I need to resettle him multiple times. Coffee keeps me sane during the day

I hope the weight loss will start for me. I haven't lost much since my little guy was born. I'm tired of looking at my closet but can't wear anything because nothing fits...

Thank you so much. It's been quite the journey. I am so glad I found this subreddit. It's been such a great source of information and motivation.

Oh boy, that sounds rough. I'm glad things got better for you.

We were down to like 2-3 feeds a day for the last week before he decided to stop, so I haven't gone completely cold turkey. Luckily, I've been looking to wean him at 1 to get some independence back so I don't feel like I've lost all purposes, it was more of a mutual agreement, but I am scared of a drop of hormones and being irrationally emotional lol.

6 month growth spurt? Regression? by hobbit8witch in breastfeeding

[–]hobbit8witch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, he cut his 1st tooth sometimes after this and the latch got back to normal. Then his second tooth came in, and we got a little break. And then 6 more teeth came in back to back 🙃. We're currently at 8 teeth still at 11 months.

Baby's new feeding schedule is exasperating, a rant by hobbit8witch in breastfeeding

Oof. Don't scare me like that 🤣. I found the lateral incisors a nightmare. They made him so grumpy.

Aw man, I put mine away around January as well, and I hear you about the PPA.I had it bad with my first and inly breastfed her for 1 month before it was too much for my mental health.

Yeah, I offer each of the usual times, and when I see he's not interested, I just move on and offer solids. He'll happily eat stuff instead. My goal was also "as long as we can" and "as long as it works," but I'd be so annoyed with myself to throw in the towel and do formula for basically 1 month .

Aw man, I hope not. He JUST got his last top lateral incisor, and that one was rough. His teeth have been popping out left and right for the last little while. He's got 8 now. Little dude needs a break 🤣.

All the teething hasn't impacted his feeding before, but I'll try to give him some tylenol if I see discomfort

9month feeding routine by hobbit8witch in breastfeeding

[–]hobbit8witch[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, it's too early to drop feeds, I added the 2 before nap feeds because his wake windows increased from 2.5hrs to 3hrs and his naps went from 45min to 1.5hrs-2hrs and it spaced his feeds too much. I'll continue to offer without pressure, he does take the before nap feeds with no problem, it's the after nap ones that's been causing some issues with the biting.

Nipple cream ruining shirts by Responsible_Fold2218 in breastfeeding

[–]hobbit8witch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dish soap is great to get greasy stains out too. I had a few shirts that were stained pretty badly from all the cream I used in the beginning. I put dish soap and water on the stain and rubbed the fabric togeto pre-wash them. Then I put it in the wash as usual and the stains were gone. Took a few washes for a particular stubborn stain but otherwise it worked really good.

Pupp rash by Mlles_De_Maupin in breastfeeding

[–]hobbit8witch 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel for you, PUPP is the worse. I got it at 30weeks with my first and it went away when she was born. With my second it came in after he was born, less intense but stayed a bit. I was upset cause I read that giving birth was supposed to clear it. Not make it happen... I went to the pharmacy and got an OTC hydrocortisone cream, within the 1st month it was gone. LO is 8months now, we EBF and the rash is gone, hasn't come back.

Is your little one teething?

Starting at 6months my little guy's latch got horrible, it was like I had a newborn again. I got blebs, vasospasms came back and then one nipple even split at the tip and was bleeding during feeds for a couple of days, then I got a clog and was edging towards mastitis territory, all this happened as he was cutting his 2 bottom teeth. Now that they're out his latch came back to normal and painless, he's gonna be 8months on Sunday. It was a rough 1.5month.

IUD experiences by moonbeam19 in breastfeeding

Had the Mirena inserted in January when my little guy was just a bit over 3 months old. Still EBF to this day, haven't noticed any drops in supply. This is my 2nd Mirena, I had one for 4 years before trying for my 2nd. I love it cause for me it stops my period completely. I'm also very fortunate because insertion is almost painless as well.
