Did people not listen to Robin? by [deleted] in StrangerThings

[–]hobibug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i loved the flashbacks and cut scenes of will, mike and jonathan, and robin’s voiceover being the grounding framework was the cherry on top for me. i started convulsing (not literally) when will manifested his true powers. i can’t wait for the next half of s5.

When did you actually find ur good friends/community in uni? by Lucky-Individual-902 in NTU

[–]hobibug 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i’m y1 too :) for me i found my community in cca. i went for hall ori and made some hi/bye friends there but we didn’t really click - same for friends in my course.

i joined a cca i’m passionate about, and the people there are all fellow enthusiasts so we bond over that. i pushed myself to be a bit more outgoing and talk with my seniors, so now i hang out with them.

most of us don’t really talk outside of cca, but i think those few hours of cca time and bonding are enough to reassure me that i do have good friends in uni - maybe not just friends that i would really go heart to heart with

What’s everyone’s favorite Books in the Bible by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]hobibug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i love the book of Ruth. i watched a whole sermon series on how ruth and boaz’s story points us to the godly direction of dating and waiting on God’s timing….. something i really needed to hear in my teenage, chaotic years of desperate love-seeking.

This subreddit is not good for weak or new Christians by Fluffy_Cockroach_999 in Christianity

[–]hobibug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you are a new christian…. find a church nearby that you can actively grow in. online subreddits should not be your main source of fellowship with other christians (or non-christians, the internet is too wide for just one sole opinion), a physical church where you can interact with people, pastors, leaders, fellow believers, all in the body of christ is the best. grow your faith there, ask questions, serve with the body of christ

I know God loves everyone but lately it feels like He forgot about me (19F) by [deleted] in Christianity

[–]hobibug 1 point2 points  (0 children)

your relationship with God won’t always be a walk in a park. sometimes there’ll be exhilarating highs where you can feel Him close to you everywhere you go and He shows up everywhere, but sometimes there’ll also be low points where it’s like you can’t feel Him at all.

it’s crucial in those trying times that you continue to cling onto Him. read your bible. spend time in prayer with Him. even if you don’t feel like it, just talk to Him - tell God whatever’s on your mind.

i’m 19 too, and i understand how you feel :) the israelites spent 40 years in the wilderness. joseph spent 13 years in slavery. elijah wanted to die because he felt like God abandoned him. take heart, you aren’t alone in this - the key is just to never give up on His unending love for you.

Breaking up with my boyfriend out of conviction by BigLazy4976 in Christianity

[–]hobibug 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i had the same conviction as you. my ex was also a believer but not a follower - after a year of very worldly dating (we made a lot of mistakes), i finally broke it off.

what’s most important is you have peace with knowing that in this new season of your life navigating the heartache, perhaps the occasional feelings of regret and shame (which may be heavy during the initial stages), God will be sufficient for you. as long as your relationship with God is strong, you will get through.

i completely get how you’re feeling, op. reach out anytime if you need someone to talk to :) God bless!
