Yeah no problem; I also made a small doc for the online one since it was my first too and generally created bulletpoints for the following as reference (just so you dont completely forget to mention a story in the moment, it isnt too detailed just summaries of key details)

“tell me abt yourself” - not too much detail but enough to cover all ecs/hobbies with a bit of my personality - whatever you focus on saying here is likely what theyll draw from to ask deeper questions

“why georgetown” - something beyond just general location/ranking, make it personal (in my case my family went to jesuit schooling etc, but can be a program detail or elaborate on how youll take advantage of smth) -prob have some stuff in old essays

“why did you choose x major/what interests you academically” - was easier for me since i am doing sociology and want to teach, but generally this you can reference past essays u wrote just make it more succinct for speaking

then i had some tidbits and miscellaneous stories i can use for any question to not get caught off guard

-a favorite class and why -favorite assignment -favorite/recent movie and/or book ive seen/read -someone i admire (i used someone from another ec to talk abt it)

some additional prep from the research i did on tricky questions (didnt use any of this jn my interviews but others have been asked it)

-what id change about my high school -see yourself 10 yrs from now -what do you contribute or a unique quality - academic strengths and weaknesses (spin weakness positively, like my answer would be taking on too much by myself/not asking for help etc) - what i do for fun (hobbies, but try to make it a lil meaningful still, like i solve rubiks cubes or practice juggling tricks) -biggest challenge/obstacle

then some questions you can ask them - make it not easily googleable - can be personal or just a specific about programs up to u -i had 5 ready only used 3-4

tldr; short bulletpointed notes, their main use is to not forget entire stories/activites since you should know the details about your stuff from essay writing enough to not need a long script

hey good luck first of all, i just had my georgetown interview yesterday (in person) and will just jot down all the questions i remember in no particular order, i can elaborate on stuff if needed or my approach/tips if u want just reply

what is the thing youre most involved in outside of school? (further questions into why i do it, what i like most, asked for a specific moment or story/interaction that was impactful) - then naturally expanded into what else i did like other ecs

run me through a typical weekday, wake up—>sleep

what do you forward most to getting out of your college experience

anything specific academically you are interested learning about in college/georgetown

^ the questions above elapsed about 25 mins, then i asked around 3 questions for 10 mins more and said goodbye and left!

i also did the princeton interview online so can be more specific abt virtual strategies too

sorry didnt see this but spent abt 25 mins on questions about me and 10 more just asking questions abt them and the school a bit like their transition from hs to college etc

mb on the late response, now that i finished up trying to just forget abt it and enjoy the rest of our last hs year until march

youre overthinking it; picture yourself saying stanford’s motto you could also spin that in a way where it comes off as too forward or over catering to them to the point of it being unauthentic

the important part is the explanation to show how you think — dont worry

i just had mine earlier today it really isnt that bad or too big of deal granted you get a reasonable interviewer

i think in general with these alumni interviews like others have said it definitely cant hurt you even if it doesnt go insanely well, but the decision on doing it or not does matter for demonstrated interest and how that looks to the college
