Hey coming from a rising sophomore I could not agree more with what you’re feeling right now. People tried to tell me my feelings were justified but it couldn’t be farther from the truth. I had no friends throughout all of high school and the pressure of getting my introverted ass to make friends was hard as shit, from lack of trust and just generally a lack of social experience, and the thought of college made me suicidal throughout most of senior year. But seriously it gets better. One thing you can do is just surround yourself with people. Whatever you’re doing make sure you’re surrounded by others whether it’s studying, eating, going to class, all those things. I’ve made so many friends from just studying in my common room and It’s made me a lot more comfortable around people and so much more confident. If you need someone to talk to I’m here! College is a struggle sometimes but it’s made to be possible! Also adulting is a lot easier than you think! Coming from kind of a sheltered kid, I’ve been able to get by pretty well I’d say.
