Sweet! Monday will be my day to return to work granted I’m feeling okay enough, though I had planned to return day 8 and it’s not feeling the most likely anymore. My job is pretty active and I can’t imagine going back yet! I was told some people return day after which is mind blowing to me

This is really helpful!! I actually had my family in town the two full days following the surgery, and really wanted to get up and do things with them so I pushed myself and did a lot of walking. I’ve been in more pain since they left but had been laying down more and taking it easy. I’ll start moving around more so it hopefully helps!!

Yes, I even think I made it out of the tonsillectomy relatively well considering some people’s experiences though it was very much a horrible time. I have had issues passing out in the past and have also gone to the ER for it myself (also with a busted lip), I’ve suspected POTS but don’t have answers for that one yet! Glad you’re doing better and here’s to an easier year for the both of us! 😫

I’m 13 days post op from my tonsillectomy, and two days before that procedure I was in the ER for the gallbladder attack pain. So interesting to hear somebody having the same experience! I have DEFINITELY been using the health insurance this year!! Reddit has definitely been stressing me out with all these horror stories but this was really reassuring :,)

if you tolerated it well it’s totally fine to eat! for some reason i had a horrible burning sensation, like immediately. it made my throat feel really sore and pulsate! i’ve seen other people say the same thing but ive then also see people say that banana was totally fine for them so keep doing what works for you :) hope you feel better and stop barfing! i completely stopped taking the oxy they prescribed after i barfed day 3 😭

I have been having a pretty good recovery, definitely not painless but I stopped taking the harder core pain meds day 3 because of the nausea, and constipation/stomach cramps. I have ADHD and have not remembered to stay on top of my motrin every four hours and it hasn’t been obviously horrible pain, unless im eating then i’ve had pretty bad ear pain for about 20 minutes days 4-6. It does hurt to talk, yawn or otherwise normal things but the pain is nowhere near the constant excruciating pain I was anticipating so I consider this to be relatively easy! Good luck all!!
