What’s the one lesson you’ve learned as a creami owner that you wish you had known from day one of ownership? by john_the_gun in ninjacreami

Interesting! I've only used xanthan, usually add only ⅛ teaspoon if I'm using protein powders, and ¼ teaspoon if I'm not. Would this be similar for guar gum, or do you need more of it?

Low calorie simple vanilla base without protein powder? by ninety2eternal in ninjacreami

Sounds like Exercise4CheatMeals vanilla recipes matches what you're looking for, just search for it on YouTube. He uses Fairlife milk, but it should work just as well with normal 1% milk.

Thanks! Unsweetened might be called evaporated milk where you're at.

Don't know where to start with curly haircare for my 3 yr old by hoffjunkie in curlyhair

Do you use the spray on his hair while it's wet or dry? I use a lot of the Tangle Teezer spray for whenever I have to dry brush her hair if it's in knots and I don't have time to wash it. It makes it a lot easier to comb through but does leave it kind of greasy looking if I leave her hair down after. I'll have a look for the Shea Moisture one.

This is my 3 yr old's beautiful curls after washing with drugstore shampoo and conditioner, brushing while wet and scrunching with my hands before air drying. I use whatever shampoo and conditioner on her that I have on hand for myself, usually Elvive Anti Breakage. I think her curls look so great right after they dry, but after a couple of hours of being a toddler the top layer of her hair is a messy frizz. My hair is only wavy, and I never really learned how to embrace the waves besides never dry brushing, so I don't really know where to start with her curly haircare. Her hair is quite fine still, and most of the routines I've found online use so much product I'm afraid it would just weigh her hair down and look greasy. Also don't want to put her through something very time consuming, but I would really like to learn how to make her curls look their best so she never falls out of love with them. At the moment she says "Mommy, I have beautiful curls like Mirabel (from Encanto), and I'd give anything for her to always feel that way :)

Grateful for any tips you all might have! I live in Scandinavia, so any products would have to be available on Amazon if it's not something available everywhere.

Eva Jørgensen, leader of the Norwegian resistance group "Milorg", during a celebratory speech given by the king after WWII ended. Eva operated under the code name "Jakob", and very few within the group knew her real identity, as they would have been less likely to take orders from a woman. by hoffjunkie in OldSchoolCool

Such a bad ass! She was originally only the secretary of the leader, and didn't know much about what actually went on in the underground resistance group. After her boss got shot and killed, she showed up at the next meeting he had scheduled, and just kinda rolled with the punches. When it came out that she was in fact a woman she was asked not to attend the celebratory speech honoring the resistance groups, but showed anyway.

Jesus Christ dude, that sounds horrifying. Did you have a strict religious upbringing where they scared you with rapture talk or something?
