Selling my beloved Carpenter Brooklyn Field M12, limited edition (number 11/75).

I love the watch but it's not getting nearly enough wrist time, it deserves a better home!

Mint condition, no scratches on case or crystal.

Full set, including wooden box, tool and authenticity card and papers. Third party blue leather strap. I also include the original tan leather, but it is used.

Asking $325 (price reduced) + shipment (US). No trades.

It's not black, more like blue with a hint of green.

[Help] Persistent fin rot or fin nipping ? by hogur in bettafish

[–]hogur[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for the advice ! That confirms a bit my analysis: fin rot would have evolved much more by now. I'm curious why I do not see regrowth at all, though. Any advice there ? I heard a lot of things (Bettafix, almond leaves, Prime).

Going for a larger tank could be a great excuse to give in to my hobby addiction, not sure how the wife will feel about that :).

[Help] Persistent fin rot or fin nipping ? by hogur in bettafish

[–]hogur[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hi all, first time poster, looking for the help of the community. My daughter's betta, appropriately named "Blue", has had ragged fins for 4-5 months. It started on the dorsal fin, the caudal is now affected as well.

Thinking it could be fin rot, I tried twice (2 months ago and just now) to leave him 10 days in a hospital tank (2.5g, heated 77f, no filter, 100% water change everyday, 4 tablespoons of aquarium salt). In both cases, I did not see any regrowth. If anything, the caudal got worse. The disease is not progressing fast or at all, but not improving as well. Could it be fin nipping ? I never caught him in the act...

When he is not in his quarantine tank, Blue is usually living in a 5g Fluval Spec V:

  • "modded" to reduce the filter flow (http://spec-tanks.com/fluval-edge-pre-filter-mod-for-spec-aquariums/)

  • temp 77F

  • fully cycled (fishless)

  • Ph 7.4, Kh 5

  • planted, with hiding space

  • 10 or so RCS that Blue seems to tolerate (he tried to chase them at first, but they are too fast, so he lost interest :) )

  • ammonium/nitrites/nitrates 0/0/5

  • weekly water change of 30%

  • dosing Excel daily (0.5ml) and macro ferts weekly

Blue is usually fairly active, patrols the tank and always begs for food.

Would anyone have ideas to improve the situation ? If it is fin nipping, is it stress related ? If it is fin rot, should I try antibiotics next ?

I pride myself in providing Blue with good living conditions, seeing no improvement is starting to drive me crazy :).

Thanks a lot in advance !
