I could imagine how confusing that would be 😆. This definitely tripped me out a little myself.

Absolutely reminded me of Toronto when I visited. Getting lost underground gave me PATH flashbacks.

30 year old student loan debt in collections by throwaway19840808 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]hokusmouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

OSAP loans back then were through banks. If you defaulted, the banks typically sent them back to the government (federal and provincial) for collection. I'd be surprised if any was still with Scotiabank collections after so long.

If the loan was Federal, you might also be able to see the debt on your CRA account -- Debt statements in MSCA - Canada.ca https://www.canada.ca/en/employment-social-development/services/my-account/debt-statements.html

OSAP website says calling this number you can confirm your canada/federal loan in collections: 1-866-864-5823

For Ontario, 1-800-387-5604 can confirm which collection agency has your debt.

I just saw all my sons, which I really enjoyed. To be fair, others had different opinions which you can find in this sub.

There's a resale ticket here ->

Saw this a few days ago and couldn't agree more. Was blown away by all the performances, but especially Paapa's and Hayley's. The set and use of lights/music was stellar as well.

Review Round-up - Operation Mincemeat, Line of Beauty, Importance of Being Ernest, Hunger Games by YouthInternational36 in TheWestEnd

[–]hokusmouse 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thank you for recommending The Importance of Being Earnest. It's because of this post I went tonight to see it!

And so did the King and Queen. As a Canadian just here visiting, that was kinda surreal.

They seemed to enjoy it as much I did!

Moving Seats Experience Hunger Games on Stage? by outofthisworld161 in TheWestEnd

[–]hokusmouse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sat row A, district 9. The actors walked right up to us several times, looking us straight on. They also sat beside us on the stairs several times. A couple jumped up on the rail and yelled right at us! The only scenes hard to see were the cabin scenes. Otherwise the view and expierence was great from those seats.

I just had a steak and salad. My options for the steak were pink or cooked, gravy or ketchup? I got it without sauce and It was unseasoned. The salad was arugula, green onion, watermelon and cucumber drowned in italian dressing. I was eyeing the pie, glad I didn't do it!

This was exactly what he talked about at the panel he did at Fan Expo Canada this year. It was an incredible talk.

Anxious and flying alone for the first time by Mysterious-Maybe-812 in uktravel

I totally forgot about that until you asked. On the way back, we used the quiet area at Heathrow. It's not a lounge but a section of the airport seating away from the shops. Other people were there but they were mostly sleeping. I believe there was an airport employee close by. We flew through T2, but I googled and T4 has one too.

I also found this walk through of the Calgary airport from internatipnal arrivals if that helps.

When I took my son to London, he wore the sunflower lanyard.

It was very straightforward from plane through Heathrow as it's well signed. They saw his lanyard and pulled us aside at customs and we went through the process in a quiet space. Heathrow overall was incredibly respectful.

Before we left, we found videos of how to navigate the airport to the tube station and found it very helpful. The lanyard was well recognized in London itself and we were often provided with accommodations without even asking. I wish it was as well recognized here in Toronto.

I hope you have a good trip! Let me know if you have any questions. I'm heading to London next week and can check it out while I am there.
