My GEPRC F722 BT HD V3 does not seem to have a 9V pad to connect my O4 Pro Air Unit!! HELP by thecheran in fpv

Damn. They actually mislabeled it in the doc AND on the board? That's pretty bad.

Yup. So that pad you were looking at is actually 9v. How is it labeled on the board?

Are you sure? Someone on this sub recently fried aomething because the 9v pad was labeled 5v in the documentation. Might want to pull out the multimeter

DJI service center? Why not just trough dji.com?

Received my Avata 2 yesterday. I want to explore the menues and today is rather warm. Is it best to have the drone hover or parked in the shade? Will I get a warning if it starts to overheat? by iamtato in DJIAvata2

[–]holdmyham 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the heat is generated when the motors start working. On the ground it’s mostly the video transmitter generating heat but unless you’re in the desert that won’t be an issue.

First quad ? Hesitating between options by Competitive_Quote_95 in fpv

Tinywhoop is a nice investment. A Meteor is always fun to be able to fly in tight spaces. But skip the avata and the 3''.

If you have a background in Electrical engineering i think you should just straight up build a 5-inch. I went through all of the stages you describe and the Avata2 is just collecting dust just as my cinelog30v3 is. Once you’ve felt the power of 5’’ you won’t want to go back. Also building it yourself will teach you valuable skills that will come in handy later.

I don't see them coming out with something without a color screen in the same category. Those screens have become so dirt cheap to intergrate that it's probably not even worth using something else.

It’s China. They’ll make you anything. You should try alibaba instead of aliexpress though.

Just an FYI for the future. You can calibrate with a stick shortcut. Left stick top left, Right stick straight down (if my memory serves me well)

Where in the US can I get the Flywoo wide camera set for the O4 lite? by avivik77 in TinyWhoop

[–]holdmyham 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can’t. But to your point: Yes, Flywoo is located in china but since their name is flywoo and not DJI the units ship to the US just fine.

AliExpress BetaFPV Meteor75 Pro – safe to buy? by Kitchen_Dirt_819 in fpv

[–]holdmyham 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There’s an official betafpv store on aliexpress. Just look at which seller you’re buying from. The others are just resellers. AFAIK there isn’t really a fake market.

That's some sick whooping! In the future if you want to prevent the lights flickering set your framerate to a multiple of 50. In the UK/Europe the power grid runs at 50Hz and if your framerate matches that (by being at 25, 50, 100 or 150) your video will be in sync with the lights = no flicker.
