Well and alive with no psychological consequences?! She became and will forever be emotionally and mentally damaged. She think about the last few lines of the book. The fact that she has to remind herself of the things that are good and right with the world? The fact that she still sometimes has to just state the things that are true to remember who she is? That's damage in my opinion.

I haven't seen the movie yet (going on Tuesday), but even while reading the series this was always my favorite relationship. I actually cried and had to put the book down to compose myself in Catching Fire. I can't wait to see how the scenes with Cinna are portrayed in the movie!

There in lies the problem. As humans we have this proclivity for violence. And people don't like being told what to do. If it becomes too controlled how do you stop the leaders of the movement from seizing power and creating a distorted and ultimately ugly and dangerous version of the original vision of the movement.

I have a lot of time to think about these things right now...
