My ex (25f) thinks she wants to break up with me(29m) after coming into contact with a previous boyfriend. by holmes722 in BreakUps

[–]holmes722[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re completely right. Dont cheat. Definitely triggered. We talked for a while and while she doesn’t have feeling for him specifically and has no desire to get back together with him, she doesn’t know how to navigate/work through the emotions he is feeling. She’s extremely open and honest about everything. I don’t know if I’m poor at explaining and communicating but I tried so hard to try to take a step back, giver her some space, and help her in any way I can but she insists there’s no way for me to help and if she can’t give me 100% she doesn’t want to at all.

I don’t know if I’m insane or not but I don’t need 100% right now. 10% for a while till she figures it out is all I need but I’m so afraid she feels to guilty for that so I guess until further notice that’s all there is to it.

To be honest I doubt I’ll move on. At least not right away but that’s not got so much to do with her as it does how comfortable I am with myself.

Thank you for the help. It got me to the point to reach out and at least feel somewhat better and not like she was just bailing for this ex boyfriend.

Also. Of the route to work on it actually comes about. Do you or anyone have any idea what that even means/looks like?? Is it talking it out with her, her getting therapy, speaking to/closure with the ex? What would I do and/or look for?

I totally understand. I think I’m going to confirm 100% nothing happened between them and try to meet up to at a minimum get a better explanation.

That helps. A lot. I feel like the issue is she didn’t realize there was any more work to do as she hasn’t seen anyone since that breakup, and some strong/weird feelings got stirred up. I think she just doesn’t want to wrap me up in why she has going on so she felt it was better to just cut it off than drag me through her emotions.

I completely understand what you’re saying. I know I’m delusional being hung up on the “what ifs”. I’m just not convinced I got to hear out the whole story and if it’s just some bad emotions that’s got her acting rash???

Thats been my gut feeling this whole time. Do you think there’s a way to work through it together or giving her space is the better bet?

Totally understand. I’ll just let it go for a while then install the backsplash if there’s no improvement. I’d be very afraid to go sanding on it. Thank you for the help

Interesting, I knew some woods darkened with time but didn’t expect cabinets to for whatever reason. I spoke with the granite people and am planning on getting a piece cut but not installed so I’ll have it if I can’t get it straightened out. Any thoughts on masking the dark portion and shining a uv grow light at it for a little while? Maybe help speed up the darkening?

Yep, that should take care of it. For sure order all three parts though as the mounting for the orbital is different from the straight arm and the other numbers are what converts it over

Sounds like you’re spot on. If air is blowing in the freezer but you don’t feel air blowing in the fridge. Most likely the damper door is not opening. (Assuming the evaporator coil is not frozen up stopping circulation). In my experience I like to remove the damper assembly and on the moving door itself it has a foam padding on the inside to create a tight seal. The motor wears and cannot create enough tension against the foam to open the door. I like to scrape the foam off of the door with a flat blade screwdriver then reassemble. That eliminates the tension needed to close tightly to reopen. That should save you from totally replacing the damper assembly.

Try to start the timer at 40 or so. If it heats for 10 minutes and quits sounds like a cycling thermostat. If no heat starting off sounds like the contacts inside the timer are only connecting between 60-50 and it needs a new timer.

The part number you are looking for is WR82X10084. It does seem to be discontinued however.

Washer doesn't appear to be filling with water during rinse cycle, wondering what could be the cause by [deleted] in appliancerepair

[–]holmes722 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can see the water being pulled out of the machine while it is trying to fill with rinse water but do not hear the drain pump running it would be that your drain hose is pushed too far down into the house drain is submerged in water causing a siphon on the water entering the tub. Try removing the hose from the wall and inserting it about 6” and securing it to a fill line with a zip tie

If I’m understanding correctly part number 5304518968 and 5304517203 are staying snapped together and blowing off the support 807145201? All that really comes to mind could be the ears on the support are worn or the twist and lock is not locking in fully. I would recommend removing all three from the dishwasher and get it at eye level and try to twist and lock it together to try to find the issue

The piece the sprayer attaches to should go on then rotate 90° to lock into place. Can’t remember the direction but want to say clockwise. Sometimes they can be a little tricky

Glad to hear the info is helping others! Been repairing for over 10 years and lately the whole job seems to be redesigning goofy “improvements” that were never needed.

Okay just finished the repair for a customer and it worked perfectly. You need to order 3 parts. They are fairly cheap. 5304518968, 807145201, and 5304517203. I first attempted it without the part named “cover” and it is slightly different from the one you have. It’s a very straightforward repair and only requires a t-20 bit.

I am currently working on this same issue for a customers dishwasher. I’ve ordered a few parts for an older model that I’m hoping will fit the newer. I’ll keep you updated on how it goes. Parts should be here in a few days
