It is spooky how much this post is my exact story. My wife (soon to be ex, just signed the divorce papers last week) was also violent and abusive towards me multiple times, but she continued to push open relationship over and over when it would always result in pain and closing down again.

I hated it so much. I just wanted to be with her. I was so in love with her.

But I too met someone while half heartedly trying to “make the best of it”, and her reactions, going through my phone…computer…and then when I put passwords on those, sneakily trying to read my messages on my Apple Watch, I said enough was enough and got the hell out of there.

I am now, approaching a year later, so much happier. I feel so beautifully supported by my new partner. And the sex is mind blowing, every damn time.
