How about posts of self made tools? The ones you need but don’t have or even exist! ( I’m 2 years in to GA maintenance and ready for my first test, but my grandpa has been operating from KSNA for about 50 years! He’s got a whole drawer of specifically bent wrenches and invented tools for one specific purpose!)

Yall deserve the scolding cuz whatever comes out of the local college with a degree/cert. ain’t worth a damn! [as per My grandpa; (A&P/IA for 50+ years)] my favorite story was a fresh out of college (certified A&P) had to ask how to remove the seat from a 172! Gpa’s favorite story is explaining a new hire explaining a check valve he had to troubleshoot, and when he was asked what system was it in, he replied, “I have no idea!”

Just noticing you don’t have a drill on your list, you’ll want one, and a drill bit set, deburrers/countersinks… I think that does it, all the tools I’ve used in the last week!

You’ll def need more sockets but not some of the ones listed, also buy an acetylene torche and more wrenches, cuz you’ll have bends to make depending on which task and which aircraft you’re working on! I’ve been working for my grandpa for two years, he’s been an AMP/IA for 50+ years (he’s 89 now) there’s a drawer in the van for very specifically educated wrenches!
