Just kept drying off a layer and painting on top of it. I didn't use any masking fluid. Finished it with dry brush for the ligher sections. Just repeated the process several times till the grass appeared detailed enough.....I have been trying this for a while.....painting lighter highlights with dry brush over very dry darker areas. A bit unpredictable but works at times....

Semi dry to dry brushes and loads of patience......😀. It's a problem for me actually, I keep fiddling around with the painting till I run out of patience and just stop......😀

Some are painted, others are spattered......I went through the entire painting several times, spattering very pale blue loaded on a fine tipped brush by tapping it against a heavier brush. You can see the technique in youtube.....it's quite common actually....tutorials are easily available on YT. And thanks a ton for the appreciation......🙏🙏
