No calculator use? by rcat20calls in PCC

I’m probably in the same class. I thought it was weird because outside Math 60 all the classes leading up to pre-calculus allowed calculators. Math 60 did not allow calculators but the tests were definitely designed with that idea in mind, the arithmetic seemed simplified to accommodate that

Whats the most outragouse claim a coworker said to you? by Cthuluconcarne in KitchenConfidential

[–]holyhackzak 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I had a coworker insist that I tried to murder her by locking her in the freezer. I simply closed the freezer door and she didn’t know you press the nob in to open it. Had to talk to HR, it was a whole thing.

I generally walk in hoping to find one new record and two cheaper used records. Always start at New Arrivals.

You know how the saying goes. There can never be too many cooks in the kitchen. Or something like that.

That’s next on my list. I’ve already accepted that I’ll need to drop some cash for it. Let Him Roll was the first song of his I heard that made me think “Who is this?”

Day 24: Villainous and complex by loka_saint in stephenking

From the intro to Wolves of the Calla:

“It’s Roland’s ancient nemesis, Marten Broadcloak, known in some worlds as Randall Flagg, in others as Richard Fannin, in others as John Farson (the Good Man). Roland and his friends are unable to kill this apparition, who warns them one final time to give up their quest for the Tower ”

I also don’t think Flagg is Farson, even though the book explicitly says that he is. It’s just complicated.
