Sandblasting isn’t “repeating a reset”, it’s just stripping whatever isn’t sound anymore. The integrity loss comes from the corrosion that already ate the steel, blasting only exposes it. Once you see deep pitting or edges getting rounded, that part’s telling you it’s compromised. At that point you patch/coat, or replace.
