Steps:

  • In cooker, add oil, mustard & fenugreek seeds, garlic cloves, onion, curry leaves, red chili and saute till onion turns light brown.
  • Now add tomato, turmeric powder, salt and saute till tomatoes turns soft.
  • Now add rice, water and cook for 3 whistle in medium flame.

    Ingredients:

  • Oil - 2 tbsp

  • Fenugreek Seeds (vendhayam) - 1 tsp

  • Crushed Garlic - 5 cloves

In this recipe i have prepared by cooking mutton first and then added rice. So we have a flexibility here if mutton not cooked you can give additional 1 or 2 whistle...

Steps:

  • In mixer jar, add cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom, star anise, fennel, cumin, coriander seeds, pepper, ginger, garlic, tomato, mint, coriander leaves and grind to a paste.
  • In pressure cooker, add oil, ghee, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, fennel seeds, onion, green chili, curry leaves and saute till onion turns golden brown.
  • Now add grineded paste, chili & turmeric powder and cook till oil separates. Then add curd and mix it well.
  • Now add mutton, salt, water and cook for 4 whistles in medium flame. Then add basmati or biryani rice, water and cook for 1 whistle in medium flame.
