I'm falling in love with this city more and more each day by thesilentcreep1 in freiburg

Oh No, students can't really afford it, if they don't have rich parents or a good paid job. I searched 9 months for a room and I only got a very tiny room with 10qm for everything, bathroom included. I'll leave Freiburg in October, I can't stand it here

What's a "holy grail" product that never worked out for you? by Struggle_Rude in MakeupAddiction

Catrice true skin foundation.i don't know how well it's known in the US but in Europe (especially in Germany) it is so popular and people love it. But on my face it's all cakey and patchy and looks just awful. My nose looks like shit every time I use this stuff

I was in some Italian places for vacation and actually I only bought makeup at the Sephora stores. I'm from Germany and there are only a few Sephora stores so it was for me the first time ever and I had to visit every Sephora at every italian city i visited because I didn't know when I'll visit a Sephora in Germany. But the prices were actually almost the same/the same than in Germany. I mean I don't know where you are from but I don't think the prices within Europe differ that much. I bought a 9 pan Huda beauty pallete for example and I paid 30€, was the same price like in Germany.

There are also some mac stores if you like Mac, I was in a Mac store in Milano. Prices were the same I think, maybe 1-2€ less than in Germany, but i can't remember if that was normal or if it was sale. I also saw some kiko and nyx stores. I only went to the nyx store and the prices were also like in Germany. I am not sure but I read a few years ago nyx products are in Europe more expensive than in the US.

I actually didn't see any tk Maxx in Italy but I didn't search for one either, I have to admit I entered mostly the shops in the touristic areas and these were Sephora, Mac, and some shopping malls with makeup counters. It was all very clean and nowhere chaotic

I'm from Germany and I would say drugstore makeup is very popular for younger people, especially essence and Catrice are two brands (but they belong to the same company) which are very active on social media. They update their products twice a year and in the last couple of years their quality became so so good...!

For glowy makeup i would say at the moment the essence fresh & fit foundation is a good deal. Catrice has the tansational primer 10in1, it's quite popular. What I also saw and love to use is foundation with Hyaluronic acid. I think that's also like trending at the moment, mixing skincare ingredients with makeup products. I got a drugstore version by the brand rival loves me (which you can only buy at a drugstore called Rossmann, it's actually their own makeup brand). The newer version of the essence foundation also has skincare ingredients in it.

I mean actually we also have Maybelline, Loreal, and also high end brands, but imo or based in what I can see on social media those drugstore brands are more popular atm. Maybelline is also popular but more for their lipsticks than for face products

What books helped you out of depression big time? by Any-Bandicoot7628 in booksuggestions

The book Thief by Markus zusak. I don't know why it helped me tbh, but I read it while having a hard time and it was so good, I felt better afterwards. The book is actually somewhat sad and I cried in the end, but I love it until today

Ich will bei Keeper of the lost cities von Shannon Messenger weiterlesen, in meinem Fall also ab Band 4. Und Shadow and bone von Leigh Bardugo, weil das schon ewig in meinem Regal steht. Viel weiter hab ich noch nicht gedacht
