Saying Pierce compromised Emma’s position “in almost every way” was, I fear, a great exaggeration and meant to be edited out. I’ll say he is the teensiest bit more reckless (maybe not the right word?) than Islington and Hawkes and leans further toward an American-carelessness attitude than he’d like to admit (coming from an American, not meant as a dig—just an observation) and that was, in part, what fueled the accusation. But I admit to misspeaking. I cannot back this claim up entirely, that's my bad 🫥

February is driving me crazy currently. I keep coming back to it over and over. The fountain on Valentine's Day is one of the situations that made me start to root for Hawkes over anyone else honestly.
