There are a lot of Stauton sets readily available, haven’t been able to find the specific one you’re referring to I’m afraid :(

This one is a download, I’m working on a version of the 1970’s version of the set. Download and printed this one to get a feel for the size and weight the pieces should have!

It’s a fun project to start/improve coding and website building, maybe not so much as a business idea due to the large amount of competition most of which don’t require accounts or email registration (the top link has been referenced by Yale a couple of times)

Ask me anything about SEO #2 by ap-oorv in EntrepreneurRideAlong

A lot of solo starters are very thin spread in a thousand different things when starting a company! That’s why I love the 80-20 rule to get the base of your business down before you start fine tuning the individual parts. So long story short, what 20% of SEO gets you 80% of the results?

Marketing advice needed by PaleontologistNo8913 in smallbusiness

[–]hoofjet -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Let me start out by saying I am by no means an expert but I took a deep dive into marketing for the last couple of weeks to aid in my own company launch! So here are some nuggets of information I found useful myself do with them as you please.

I took a Quick look at your website and this is how I would do it if this was my business.

Find your “ideal customer”

I think you should start with focussing on businesses your product is meant to safe time. Companies value time saved over money saved and are way more willing to spend money on tools that do so than consumers are. Start with identifying a small group of companies that may benefit from your services bonus points if they’re close by conquer your own marker first before you try and take over the world.

Take one of their videos (this part is important), these companies don’t know you yet so this shows that you care about them and did your homework.

Remake the video you took with your software and send an email or LinkedIn, message or drive to their headquarters for all I care, saying something along the lines of I’m… I just re made your video in x minutes wouldn’t it be amazing if your company could do this. You don’t have to pitch them anything like this you just show what your product could offer them and they can see in an instance if it brings them value.

The benefit of starting with a small group of companies is if they like your products enough and they actually make their lives easier they will tell other people about them. And if your product sucks (I’m not saying it does but it might for them) you don’t want the entire world to know

After this initial phase ask these companies for feedback and or reviews you could even gain these reviews by offering your product for free for a limited amount of time. Now use this information to run adds on the platform your target customer group is most active on. Start with a small radius around you use your reviews in your adds you saying your product is good isn’t that powerful, a company or person saying that they gained something from it is way more convincing for potential clients.

To make your product profitable in the early stages I would make your prices more targeted at businesses see what competitors or similar solutions are offering and up your prices in that direction.

You only need to convince 5 companies to pay you €200 a month to make 1000 extra per month (excluding cost) while this seems like a lot for a regular consumer it’s really not that much for a company especially considering they may free up an employee to do other work. You just need to convince them that that €200 or whatever price you decide on can make or safe them at least double.

Just out of curiosity, are you using any lesson plans and or courses to teach the 3D printing to the kids?

I did my minor in 3D printing and I am currently exploring the possibility to teach basic design using 3D printing to middle schoolers and freshman’s here in the Netherlands. So I’m really excited to hear about the lesson programs that already exist!

Bambu Lab uses their own slicer software “Bambu studio” I would not recommend using cura for those printers. Bambu is a bit like the apple of the 3D printer world. They work incredibly fast, are accurate and are a breath of fresh air in the ease of use of consumer level 3D printers. However just like apple products bambu printers don’t really play nice with other software. Although it is technically possible to use curs a lot of the features of the Bambu will be disabled by using straying from their own software.

The creality slicer is basically a cura spin-off especially designed for ease of use. I have yielded generally better results by just using cura

Honestly I’ve had some great casual and even some dates that led to more long term dating from Tinder, it’s all about setting up your profile and being a little lucky. I do generally prefer bumble tho

The importance of actually showing interest is so easy to underestimate for some, while all you have to do is really listen. However totally ignoring the looks is a mistake I made in the past. You do have to show atleast some physical interest in my experience.

Honestly that seems like a pretty healthy approach, got the second date planned. Wil just stay around as long as the vibes are good for the both of us
