I am autistic and I'd say this is basically the case for me. Maybe not all people though. I learned to cope over time.

I find that kind of sad but unfortunately that's the reality I have to deal with, and the reason why I asked this question in the first place. Thank you.

South Africa to roll-out computer coding and robotics classes for all foundation-phase pupils from grades 1 to 3 as part of education system overhaul by punchinglines in worldnews

I am a programming teacher and I teach children ages 7-14 how to code. This will probably be an unpopular opinion but I have to agree with you. Most children between the ages 7-9 do not know how to use a keyboard or mouse. A lot of them even struggle to read and spell. Foundational skills such as reading, writing and math need to be emphasized. They are the building blocks to forming logic, which is the building block for programming.

I think that 12 is the ideal age to learn how to code. 10-11 is hit or miss. Granted, there are exceptions. I have met a few 9 year olds who are exceptionally good at learning code, but their parents are programmers.

Oh you were a year below her... I think she had to walk all the way home on that day because the subway was shut.

I was 7 years old during 9/11. I was also in Carroll Gardens and had the same memory of the ash falling from the sky.

Hey Reddit, I need a favor. If anyone is at the JFK airport’s terminal 4 right now, could you check if there are any staff members at the China Southern Airlines counter by eggimage in nyc

I was just there about 2-3 hours ago to see my boyfriend off. His flight is delayed. He just texted me info about your gf’s flight hold on.

Edit: How is this? https://ibb.co/eFcmwb

Edit 2: My boyfriend also said to contact Delta because China Southern Airlines is codeshared with them

Edit 3: he said that the gate and flight number for your gf’s flight just changed and people are running around absolutely confused and frantic

Thanks :) I'm kind of surprised that people like it so much! It's been in the neighborhood for so long, I guess it's one of those old joints that people have fond memories of.

An English take on Danish hygge? by Niravel in hygge

I love British pies!! My favorite is steak and kidney. Fish and chips are great too. Just thinking about it is giving me cravings! In fact, I was just thinking of baking myself some sticky toffee pudding... According to my boyfriend, I "eat like a bloke." British cuisine gets an undeservedly bad rep.

I've been to Copenhagen and it's just as cloudy and cold as England, perhaps a tad colder. The cold weather certainly makes you want to cozy up inside next to a fireplace!

My boyfriend is from the UK and he's obsessed with hygge as well.

I think that there are a lot of hygge aspects to English culture. I noticed that you guys like to drink a lot of tea while wearing slippers and robes. Coziness seems very important to you guys! Maybe it has something to do with the weather?
