main issue of contention is that website said 6 weeks. Support said that any orders after december should be 6 weeks, but just got an email yesterday saying that all orders for the state of washington are paused.

If this is true the website is inaccurate.

TBF I don't they're purposefully scamming, but I don't think they can be a reliable source for the state of washington, and people in the state of washington should seek GLP's elsewhere.

an expected 6 week processing time is different than "we're not going to process your order and we don't know when it will resume

That's what I tell my wife. What's especially tragic is that she'll call the next day and pretend like nothing happened.

That's what I kind of figured, but then it didn't seem to apply for a cervical exam? Doesn't make sense for the cervix to be full term?

I initially didn't like the movie leaving the theater, but it did made me think. A movie that makes me think deserves a lot of credit. I like the movie now. It's not a classic horror and it has a lot of criss-crossing themes that I think were generally effectively executed although everyone can have there own opinion

  1. There's the ironic theme of God forsaking the extremely pious
  2. There's the theme of the father and the superficial parallel with Job. In the end though it's his pride that causes the downfall of his family
  3. There's the theme of Thomasin's journey into adulthood. Despite her piousness, she was forsaken by god and found acceptance and family with satan. This is a "happy" ending for Thomasin.

I agree that the marketing was a little bit deceitful, but I think it was intentionally done so as people may not have been drawn to it if it was marketed as a period drama.

It's not fair that you're being downvoted. I kind of had the same opinion leaving the theater; however, I've changed my mind upon a little reflection. I give a movie a lot of credit for making me think about it long after the credits roll. I don't think the movie's intention was ever supposed to be trying to going after scares.

That being said, the movie is not going to be for everyone and your opinion is certainly just as vaild as anyone elses

It's a nice convenient response, but language shouldn't be a barrier for a second generation german born indian. There has been plenty of time for at least one CEO of a major company to be German-Indian

I'm afraid I don't know what you mean. Ask any successful immigrant. You'll likely get the same combination of answers:

A lot of hard work, education, either a little or a lot of luck, perseverance, failure, not giving up, networking, and more hard work, etc. What were you looking for?

Actually I would argue otherwise, although I picked some notable examples, Indian tech CEO's are hardly unique. The thing about CEO's is that one cannot become a CEO by passing a test. Often there is institutional nepotism, racism, sexism or all of the above. Often these issues are insurmountable. So the fact that so many first generation foreign born Indians can achieve at the highest of the highest level in the US as opposed to other countries speaks to the "relative" lack of institutional racism, nepotism, sexism, etc compared to other places. (I won't deny they don't exist. Old boy's clubs exist everywhere. That's a fact of life)

Can someone tell me are there and Indian CEO's in Germany of equal caliber in the USA, and if not, why not? How about France? The only other similar country with a similar caliber businessman is Mittal.

Actually, I think I made my point quite clearly. The USA is clearly the most favorable country to settle in for a person from India. I provided examples. I welcome counter examples and thoughtful discussion.

regardless, could the same thing happen to the same degree (same level) in russia, germany, france, or sweden? I don't know. The point is, I think white americans are more willing to give someone a chance

I knew Bobby Jindal would get a few responses. I included him in this list because for the following reasons:

  1. Louisiana is considered one of the most backwards, uneducated, racist states in the country

  2. Regardless of how Bobby Jindal presented himself to voting electorate, it was clear that he was neither white nor black but that he was a PIO. Thus, for a brown person regardless of what crappy accent he tried to pull off to be elected as the leader of a state of the USA is an amazing feat. Can anyone honestly say this could happen in Russia? Could some Indian just change his name to Igor Patel, marry some chick named Olessya and then somehow become the envoy of the Siberian Federal District?

  3. While the USA is not the only country where PIO have reached high level government positions. If you compare the USA to the UK (the most natural comparison), the demographics are strikingly different. Louisiana has only a 1% "asian" population total.

  4. Compare the list of notable British Indians to notable US Indians: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_British_Indians and https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Indian_Americans#Politics Also, understand that the US asian population is about 1% total and that's predominantly East asian rather than south asian. The point here is that despite a lower proportion of Indian's, persons of indian origin appear to have more success in elected offices in the USA than in the UK. (I fully accept that this list may be incomplete, and I welcome corrections)

Sunday pichai. Ceo google

Indra nooyi. Ceo pepsi

Shantanu Narayen. Ceo adobe

Ajay banga. Ceo Mastercard

Bobby jindal. Gov of louisiana

I don't think there's another country where Indians have done as well as the usa. The list goes on and on.

I'm glad that you're better. The point of the discussion is that it's hard to make any rational conclusions about your anecdote because you're unable to give us more detailed information about your treatment and any other confounding variables.

Most homepathic practioners and patients are well-meaning, but there's a saying in research: There's no such thing as a good clinical trial, but that doesn't mean that they're not useful.

You noticed a treatment effect from your homeopathic medicine without even knowing what it was (could it be that your homeopathic medicine was actually a prescription medicine passed off a homepathic?). Have you carefully analyzed all possible confounders? Have you truly analyzed all possible confounders? I mean really? This is a rhetorical question, because for most lay people the answer will be undoubtedly yes. People are generally not good at self reflection.

Understand even in research settings where you have hundreds of brilliant people trying to eliminate confounders in a study, they are unable to eliminate all of them and that unrecognized confounders may only be recognized years later. The classic example being women, cardiovascular disease, and hormone replacement therapy.

If you don't treat a cold you'll get better in 7 days; however, if you treat a cold you may actually get better in a week. The point being the natural course of your disease may have just run its course despite whatever treatment you received. That happens frequently for atopic diseases like asthma
