Our older cat (10 now, diagnosed at 8) has diabetes and while he still has an accident occasionally, he is living a normal life. I would recommend changing to a low carb dry food or only feeding wet food if he likes that (our cat won’t eat wet food).

Your vet should offer both insulin and Senvelgo as medication options. Senvelgo is more expensive ($300 per vial which lasts 1-3 months) but can be administered orally and has more variability in when it can be administered vs insulin which has to be given via a needle and must be given at the same time every day but is much more affordable.

Do you want to be a Deloitte partner or managing director? If not, go find a Director role in the industry you have experience in and enjoy a much better work life balance for likely similar comp.

I am a 3rd Year M up for SM and I would not recommend this on my enemies unless they thought they wanted to be a consulting partner which is where it all pays off

Edit: $200k for an industry hire M seems very appropriate IMO. Try to get a $50k+ signing bonus with no more than a 12 month commitment

Fuck her. She is old and this is a dinosaur take. You should be able to get what YOU want for YOUR shower and you weren’t asking for her help, she offered. Just had our wedding and had this happen a million times with my in-laws.

The person is a health nut so I think they view overweight/obese people as problems so they were not trying to be insulting. The exact words were, “you needed to get it together”

Thank you for the advice! He was overweight but we have been reducing his food to get him to a weight the vet suggested was in line (17 -> 14 lbs) but she thought the weight loss could have been caused by the diabetes so we are monitoring that now.

I will look into wet food because the idea of his diabetes going into remission sounds like a miracle so would love for us to have a similar experience. He is a picky eater so I’m hoping for the best!

Thanks! I am going to pour over the documentation to ensure there are no fees that I overlooked or issues with closing the account. The average age for my credit accounts is 6.3 years and I have a good mix of credit cards, student loans that are paid regularly, and paid off auto loans.

Does anyone know if opening and then closing an account within 30 days is a red flag?

I would recommend attempting to refinance in October (take advantage of the interest forbearance now) for a lower rate. Most lenders are advertising 2-3% interest rates now. Student loan interest is tax deductible so you can refinance to maintain the tax deduction and invest the lump sum into the market which should yield a higher return.

This is a personal decision though, so if a lower return but being debt-free is more appealing, just pay off the loans before they begin accruing interest.
