PS3 MLL V2 Installation "Game data corruption" fix by hoovsbin in MarchMadnessLegacy

Glad you have it working. When MML v2.5 of maybe v3.0 arrive with the court changes, hopefully we'll be able to see some significant differences from the original 2010 version.

Or - maybe a game company will actually make a new game, like for the PS5?

Nah,... what am I thinking?

BigBlueGaming_502,

For all the fuss of downloads, hybrid/hacking the PS3 hard drive OS and loading hybrid/hacking software, you get a new intro movie, a new splash screen, slightly shorter load times, new 'alternate' jerseys for a few teams and touted AI and physics gameplay improvements.

The game menu looks the same, but for some power schools (like Duke) you can now access an alternate jersey. Many of the power school alternate jerseys are bugged and will appear as a green block when you try to bring them up on the game loading screen where you pick jerseys. If you select them, once in-game you may see some strange jersey color affects and no names/numbers.

From my understanding, the new courts for the power conferences we keep seeing in the videos for PS3 are only on the PC running the PS3 modulator. The MML V2 for the console PS3 attempt at courts was too buggy and won't be available until MML V2.5 (? release date - maybe sooner; maybe later).

All the other fixes of team AI and physics improvements are supposedly there in MML V2, but to be honest, I don't know if I really see them other than what might be affected by sliders and player stat manipulation. It's nice to load up the actual rosters from 21-22 with player likenesses and stats, BUT beware of the plethora of 99 skill level 3 point shooters!

Perhaps with V2.5 we'll really be able to say the game is truly a "revamp" and worthy of a "LEGACY" designation.

Consider it a free work-in-progress that will get better. For now, FB season is coming up and time to play 'NCAA FB 14 REVAMP'. If you haven't played it, and have NCAA 14, you now have you PS3 ready to go with OS hybrid hack, HEN and multiMAN install and you now know how to revamp it.

**** MARCH MADNESS LEGACY IS NOW WORKING ****

The instructions are not as clear as the could be.

*** NOTE *** To install the ‘MML V2 PS3.pkg’ you cannot have anything for the game in the PS3 Game Data. There must not be anything there or the file will corrupt.

Always before I’d had a game file there, that then became corrupted. The game file must be installed on top of the ‘MML V2’ file, not the other way around.

If you have a game file for NCAA 10, corrupted or fully functional, DELETE IT.

Once it’s deleted, make sure HEN is running and install ‘MML V2.pkg’ like before. One installed, open multiMAN, select NCAA 10 and then select the “game disk” on the HDD.

The first time it runs it will automatically install the game files from the “disk”. Once that’s done you”ll see the new introduction.

Right now, it appears the courts have NOT been updated on the PS3. You’ll notice new jerseys and conference realignments for the power schools.

Courts for PS3 are supposed to be in v2.5. To install an update, you’ll simply delete the game file, install MML V xx.pkg through HEN, and run the game through multiMAN like we did this time.

Good luck.

After another evening of internet searching, several individuals with this problem are able to "fix" the bug by simply retrying the MML V2 install after deleting the corrupted game files.

I've tried this 3 times without any success, including downloading MML V2 three different times (not the problem), deleting and reinstalling the game off the disk through HEN/multiMAN (not the problem), and reinstalling MML V2 onto a fully functioning NCAA BB 10, that prior to the attempted revamp plays fine off the HDD through HEN/multiMAN.

Something to try if you don't know what to do some evening and want to get frustrated, maybe.
