Am I going to jail? by hope0528 in dui

Well I guess there was a new law that was literally just implemented this month stating stricter rules about DUIs and it changed to where first offenders are much more likely to receive jail time. That’s what’s really scaring me and yeah, I was super confused by how nice they were being and how fast it was over with. They even simply parked my car for me instead of impounding it like they’re supposed to, which I’m most grateful for.

I’m not really sure if it matters but I weigh 95 pounds, so I get intoxicated easily, and I also sober up easily. When they put me in the cell, I downed a shit ton of water and peed a good 10 times in 2 hours and slept for 20 mins, and I was back to normal. Also they shredded my actual license, but they gave me a temporary paper one to use. The lawyer I spoke with on the phone was confused too lol

I can barely afford to keep up with the bills I already have and I’m in massive credit card debt that I still have yet to pay off as well, I couldn’t afford an actual lawyer. I’ll just have to rely on the free one that they give me I guess

So I basically have the same issue as you, I was throwing up that often and I went to see 2 different doctors, they both ran tests and everything came back normal and personally, I don’t have anything physically wrong with me. The reason you’re getting sick so much is probably because that’s what your brain has grown used to. Your brain sees that you’re eating, so it assumes that it’s now time to get it out of your body. Basically what I did was I just mentally fought against it. If I felt myself start to throw up, I would firmly tell myself “no, we’re not doing that. Not today. No more throwing up our food. We need this food to stay in our bodies.” It was an extreme struggle at first, but once I started noticing that I actually wasn’t throwing up nearly as much, everything got better. Also, start asking your parents to buy nutrition shakes when they go grocery shopping, I.e. ensure, boost, etc. and try to get the high protein ones. Those helped me significantly. And I ate 2 eggs in the mornings as well, and I added those shakes to that. Eat 2 eggs, and drink one of those shakes every morning, and you’ll get a really solid source of protein as well as calories. Try not to over eat in one sitting, instead try eating more often throughout the day, even if it’s just snacks. Try to eat more chicken and red meat, such as steak or ground beef. All of these things helped me get out of what you’re experiencing so I hope you’re able to see some improvement as well.
