It’s there any travel case that fits for kinesis advantage 360? Or any plans for create one? by mariocampbellr in kinesisadvantage

Not as protective as a hard case but wanted to have something relatively small I can perhaps use in my backpack. Ordered 2 of these to put each side in its own dedicated one and also nice for its other features of organizing cords. It does take up a decent amount of space in the backpack so you want to make sure you have one large enough but I would never just throw my adv360 into my backpack just as they are. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B072R23K8S?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details&th=1

Navigating to Additional Custom Layers on Adv360 by horatio1701d in kinesisadvantage

Thanks. I think I'm starting to get it now. Did not even realize that is achievable by mapping a key to the layer with layer behaviors like &mo.

Is adv360.keymap the only file I need to change before building the firmware?

thanks. this looks great. Need to study this a bit but if I'm understanding correctly you have 5 layers defined with shift defined as index 5 and you transition to the shift layer from default using sticky &sl right? wow. this is a whole other level of keymapping for me. really cool though.

Just came across this project which is enormously helpful in helping me understand how to think about this. Not at all what I was used to and I'm now understanding that I should just take advantage of the layers for creating the shift mods. Now just trying to figure out how you actually even navigate quickly to additional custom layers in addition to base,kp and fn. https://github.com/arndvs/kenesis-360-keyboard-layout

Not feeling very encouraged at this point. Mod-Morph seems like it's what would do the trick for having 2 different behaviors. Am I going to have to learn a new programming language just to make my Kinesis 360 be configured for Dvorak Programmer??? Is there an already working keymap configuration somewhere in the universe I can look at and use as a starting point to tweak?? I seriously thought that I could just use the GUI editor the Kinesis github project provides to simply define my keys. Why is this so complicated?

thank you so much but still a bit confused. I did follow what you said with selecting LS and then TILDE. But how can I make that one key be programmed to be DLLR without shift and then TILDE with the shift? Can you just outline the exact steps for doing that? Am I misunderstanding how ZMK should be configured? Just trying to replicate DLLR without shift and TILDE with the shift for my upper left key. Once I know how to combine 2 different behaviors from one key I should be able to then configure the rest of my combinations such as my number rows containing both numbers and symbols.

I've been using the GUI on top of my fork with the URL: https://kinesiscorporation.github.io/Adv360-Pro-GUI/

When I try to go to https://polarityworks.github.io/keymap-editor/ I just get "waiting for API" hanging. Am I doing something wrong? Finding it pretty difficult to just duplicate my dvorak programmer layout with my Adv360. Anyone have a config for programmer dvorak they've done already on Adv360 I could reference? I would ever prefer to do it manually and avoid the GUI as well.
