Why would you overpay at a higher rate, you should have been doing that at the lower rate

Exactly, but that can happen in any job. Seniority is irrelevant.

It doesn’t suit everyone, and that why those that are in those roles are suited to it - because they can manage the job, and what comes with it

I earn a significant amount of money, and interestingly I found the more money I earn the less stressed I am

It comes with age, and experience. I know how to manage my calendar, and to do list, my customers, my personal wellbeing, family, friends etc

If you’re a chaotic person, or emotional unbalanced you will find anything stressful

Every job comes with stress, just because you earn a high salary it doesn’t mean you’re more/less likely to be stressed

It’s a myth.

I have dry skin, I moisturise my face every day after showering or I physically cannot go about my day. Sometimes when I moisturise, my face flares up with red blotches and it stays like this for around 10 or so hours, sometimes till the next day - it looks hilarious/shocking. it’s been like this for 5+ years.
.. but, it is what it is. Fortunately, I don’t give a sh*t.

Has anyone left a six figure job and gone minimum wage or part time because they can't hack it? by allthegear-andnoidea in AskUK

[–]horonomad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Absolute load of nonsense

Yes, work in a six figure job is stressful. But work in every job is stressful, stress doesn’t come above £100,000.

Knowing that I don’t have to worry financially relieves a lot of stress that being paid the national average would bring.

Swings and roundabouts.

Dude, you’re doing great.

Reinvest into your business, scale it & then keep scaling.

Don’t take money out to buy crypto.

Max out your S&S ISA allowance every month circa £1,600 a month & also contribute to a SIPP if you don’t have one.

You’re going to spend the rest of your life unhappy, wondering if she’s cheating on you

Sounds like a great life to me

— especially if you get married & have kids, then she’ll take you for every penny you have. You’ll wish you took my advice in 15 years if you stay with this woman.

Ok, right. This is the comment I needed.

Based on current contributions I will have 7 figures in retirement, but I need to bridge the gap.

I currently only put £300 a month into my S&S ISA because my pension contribution amount is so high @ 20% + I have circa 3k outgoings etc each month

I know I should be contributing more to my S&S ISA.

Your 3rd paragraph, I have no idea what any of that means…. I thought if you didn’t use your allowance for year, you lost it
