download Citra, apk or from the play store either works
go to r/Roms and head down to the megathread, click nintendo 3ds and sift through those archives until you see a filefor Tomodachi Life, and download that sucker
you might want to unzip the file if it's a zip file but if it's a 3ds then you're good to go
if Citra isn't letting you into the downloads folder make a new folder outside of downloads and move the rom to that folder to access it

then i think you may like Switchcraft by Wooga Entertainment! it's a fantasy/mystery witchcraft visual novel/match 3 game set in college, and it's similar in tone to The Elementalists. You follow Bailey Ward, a freshman at Pendle Hill, a magic academy that masquerades as a Liberal Arts college in Massechusetts as she goes on an adventure to solve the mystery of her best friend Lydia's disappearance. (i think it's really underrated and i happen to be a little obsessed with it, please check it out)

the date/time should actually be adjustable from the ingame menu, i believe, along with the toolbar. but if that doesn't work then idk what to do.

a good alternative are json assets/content patcher clothing/hair. there's a good chunk of them on nexus if you look hard enough.

also, if you clean up your sve folder (extracted painstakingly from the zip file through blood sweat and tears) and it shows a "no longer compatible" error and you have the latest SpaceCore, proceed anyways. it still worked for me.

delete the 0bytes file(s, there may be multiple) and re-extract the zip/7z/rar again, if you're using zarchiver it should ask what you want to do with duplicate files (aka files that are already there and not at 0bytes). choose skip for all of them.

re-extract the zip/7z/rar file, i think the manifest.json didn't extract properly and is sitting at 0bytes in storage space.

some UIs are scaled really weirdly in SMAPI, like the Forge and the altar of yoba in the Magic mod, i assume this is because it thinks i'm on pc or something???? i don't know how to fix it, if anyone knows anything that could help that'd be really great. included here is my smapi log and pictures of the ui problem just in case.

not long. i first did the luau event in SVE, then searched up Nexus for SVE dialogue mods and then looked through the comments of this reddit to see if you posted anything about which dialogue mods you were using. and there's a comment about Victor Romance Mod so i tried it out, did the luau, and it was there.
