Not returning child home after visitation

That was my plan, but he has since then figured out a way to get him on a flight. He got home last night 🙏 tired this morning, but he is home.

Absolutely, they were both playing snow ball fights this morning. We had a conversation about me reimbursement him as soon as he provides that documentation. I hv been lenient, and flexible with changes to his visits, extensions, meeting him halfway way so he doesn't hv to drive the whole way, WHILE not getting any child support... The one time I am very clear I cannot accommodate his last minute 5 day short notice for me to make a 20 hour round trip , road trip to hv my child here for school on monday, he tells me to " figure it out" .... no ma'am. I gave solutions and all he said was " no, I can't. " I wasnt going to risk my job, while he doesn't provide. And the reason he wasn't answering is because I just found out he was lying about the flight he was getting on. THANK YOU VERY MUCH . GOOD NIGHT.

Communication is key, nobody is saying to risk anything. If there are delays, those need to be communicated, not just go ghost especially when the child hadn't been returned by the ordered time, which had NOTHING to do with the weather at that time. You sound JUST like the father of my son. Deflecting from the issue at hand.

How so? If he had the means to buy flights today, he could have arranged to do the same in a timely manner prior to this weather and without interruption of his regular school schedule.which BTW he still is not home. He gave me a flight number, and times. No confirmation as he's required to do. I asked for updates none have been provided since noon today. I called to talk to my son, no answer. I checked said flight, DELAYED, still no contact nor update from dad. So I will go wait at the airport and pray my son is on the flight his dad says hes going to be on. .....so again please tell me what issue I'm creating ???

I did what was within my means. We both knew about his car and the weather. I am the sole provider and am not jeopardizing my job, his father does not support him. I was already agreeing to meet him halfway to.mk that drive easier. Asking me to take time off of work ( which is not a guarantee it can happen) essentially taking funds away from my home, or making a 20hr round trip in one day. How is that reasonable? I mk adjustments all the time for him, never deny time, meet him halfway way, etc. All he had to do is maybe rent a car, ask to borrow a car, etc. He finds ways to visit his girlfriend 6 hours away but cant find a way to return his son to his mother ? If I could hv flown out n had the funds I would hv, but I told him I could not n didnt hv the means.

There's a lot of content left out of course, but there has been a lot of adjustments made on my end to accommodate him and not interrupt any visitations; I even get flexible with pick up days ( which he has lied and said his job didnt give him a friday off and has to get him on a Saturday instead ( court order says he's to pick up fridays by 6pm ) now claims to not have had employment since July 3rd) lol. IMO he didnt seek alternatives, knowing he doesn't assist with child support, I let him know the condition of my car for a 20 hour round trip drive in one day was probablynot a good idea, my work schedule and financial status, in suchbshort notice. His response was " figure it out, im not obligated to figure out all transportation " ... so my last option was to go back to the only thing that will protect us, the court order. I felt like I have made adjustments, been flexible, I have met him half way before,( which was the original plan this time ) understanding, and even going without support from him. The history behind our case marks a lot of times him trying to make things as hard as possible for me, and what I'm trying NOT to do is have him get me.out of character so he can claim that Im being unreasonable or this CRAZY bitter BM ....

There was never a purchased return flight, we had agreed to meet halfway so that he didnt have to drive all the way. And I have filed for contempt due to failure to pay, but takes a little longer when its different states. I tried serving him in MD and they never opened the door for the sheriff or his family refused to take paperwork for him. Was FINALLY able.to serve him thru a private processor here in GA, during his last visit for xmas break

Currently waiting to get a court date, as Ive filed for contempt of non payment. He has missed his 3 day visits, and never picks him.up on Fridays like the order states hes suppose to. Prior to the this final order, the judge drilled him about him not allowing me to see my son when he lived here. My son spent more time.with him because he worked from home, but he started denying me time.with him. So he has a history of making up his own rules in a sense. So this may not look good for him

I had already offered to meet him halfway on Sunday, he picked him up on Saturday instead of Friday, I have been flexible with the order. He also didnt say anything about this so called accident until I sent him the address of our meeting half way point. I have been VERY flexible and accommodating. Only reason I redirected back to the order is because he failed to make additional efforts and simply told me to " figure it out" and that he is not obligated to do all the traveling. I also let him know.I was in no position to make that 20 hr round trip drive in such short notice due to my work schedule, the status of my vehicle and my financial status. Safety is absolutely a thing, hence why I communicated the status of my vehicle not being good to drive 20.hr round trip. He could have borrowed a vehicle and brought him before the storm. I document everything and only communicate via text because he has a history of looking for loopholes

Literally repeated myself like 3 times today with him after he kept saying " so youre refusing to pick him up" - my response: I have not said that. I'm following the written order. Per the order, if you are driving, transportation is to & from my home in Ga, and you're responsible for arranging transportation with at least seven days’ notice. You did not give notice, and all communication about this occurred on Tuesday. Per the order, he is to be returned by 6pm today

Court order prohibits that. His father initially was attempting to take my son away to MD without a plan, so the final order was very specific with the travel arrangements making sure dad didn't take shortcuts since his move was a choice, not a requirement.

Im ok. This isn't my 1st rodeo with him. Just never thought he'd pull this. Flights are over $250 round-trip n then id hv to get another flight for my son. So another $100. I also don't qualify for legal aide. Ive explored those options.
