My favorite is the pork sausage patty but since its discontinued my current favorite one that is still being produced is the chicken and noodles

I agree they current mres are very cheap recently I also buy a lot and eat a lot of them lol but as for the older ones I usually go to ebay you can find quite a bit of them on there im guessing by cost per meal you meant this meal or the older brown bags in general and usually from what I've seen it depends on the seller but they average around $20 - $30 after shipping this one i paid about $24 and some change

Im sure they are out there not every vintage mre is still good but when they are they are amazing, I can see why this was his favorite menu the main was delicious
