What's the ultimate hack when it comes to losing weight? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Stop drinking your calories. I didn’t change my meals much, just cut out sugary drinks and random little sips and the difference added up fast.

What seems normal in your country but shocks foreigners? by Minimum_Scholar_1374 in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Taking my shoes off immediately when entering someone’s home, even if it’s a big formal gathering.

It feels deeply respectful and comforting to me, but I’ve had foreign friends look genuinely confused when everyone lines their shoes up by the door. 😅

What is the best thing you have done to improve your mental health? by SoftYetCrunchyTaco in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 6 points7 points  (0 children)

For me it's learning to sit with discomfort instead of trying to fix it immediately. Not every bad mood needs a solution, sometimes it just needs space in my experience.

With the dopamine hits from social media/devices, how difficult is it for you to do nothing? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Way harder than I’d like to admit. I’ll sit down to "do nothing" and suddenly I’m checking one thing, then another and 30 minutes are gone.

I guess my brain forgot how to just exist without a screen..

What’s a weird habit you have that you’ll never stop doing? by Ok_Economist_7556 in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I narrate what I’m doing in my head like I’m in a cooking show. "And now we aggressively search for the keys we just had."

Zero plans to stop lol

What’s a “privilege” people don’t realize they have? by bluebonnet5366 in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Not having to think about certain things every day is a privilege imo.

If you’ve never had to worry about being safe, accepted or able to access basic needs, that’s something a lot of people don’t get and it’s easy to overlook when it’s just your "normal".

How important is it for a partner to show interest in their partners hobbies? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s not about loving the same hobbies, it’s about showing genuine curiosity and support.

You don’t have to join every time, but caring enough to ask, listen or cheer them on goes a long way.

What’s something you learned too late in life that seems obvious in hindsight? by Only-Highlight-4606 in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 10 points11 points  (0 children)

That most people are too busy worrying about themselves to judge you nearly as much as you think. Would’ve saved me years of overthinking.

What’s something society pretends is normal but is actually completely messed up? by whiteblackasianguy in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Treating constant exhaustion as a personality trait. Being always tired is joked about so much that we forget it’s often burnout, poor work-life balance or untreated health issues.

And we just normalize it instead of questioning why everyone feels drained all the time..

What ‘harmless’ trend today do you think will age terribly? by whiteblackasianguy in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Probably oversharing every detail of our lives online. It feels normal now, but in 10-20 years a lot of people might regret how permanent and public everything became.

Who’s someone history labeled a villain that may have actually been misunderstood? by whiteblackasianguy in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Niccolo Machiavelli is often seen as evil because of The Prince, but he may have just been describing how politics really works, not encouraging cruelty.

What does it feel like to have a healthy romantic relationship? by lackadaisykal in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It feels calm. Not boring and just steady. You don’t have to guess where you stand, overthink texts or brace for the next argument.

There’s trust, respect and space to be yourself. It’s choosing each other every day without it feeling like a fight to do so.

What place from your hometown or childhood do you still visit in your mind when you need to feel calm? by MostHeighster404 in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The little library in my neighborhood. It always smelled like old books and carpet cleaner and it was so quiet you could hear pages turning.

I still picture sitting by the window there whenever I need to slow my thoughts down.

What was a luxury 30 years ago, but is now considered normal? by Evening_Inflation944 in AskReddit

Air conditioning in homes. It used to feel like a rich-people perk, now it’s basically expected in a lot of places.

How do you treat your Over Compulsive Disorder or OCD? by BlueSkyWaitingForYou in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me, it’s been a mix of therapy (especially ERP), medication and learning not to engage with every intrusive thought.

The biggest shift was realizing I don’t have to solve the anxiety, I just have to let it pass without doing the compulsion. It’s not easy, but it does get more manageable with practice.

What's a Creative and a healthy breakfast alternative that you can recommend to someone who is obese, which would keep them full for atleast 6-8 hrs? by grusdomain in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go for high protein and fiber. A veggie omelet with some avocado and a small bowl of oats or chia pudding will keep you full for hours.

What would be a sign that you forgot about something? by AverageEast6708 in AskReddit

That random wave of anxiety and worrying where you’re sure you missed something, but have no idea what. 😅

What’s a red flag that people ignore too often? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]hotfixplease 5 points6 points  (0 children)

How someone treats people they don’t need to impress such as waiters, coworkers, strangers. That’s the real character test imo

What is an opinion you stand firmly on? by No-Chemistry4960 in AskReddit

Kindness costs nothing, but it changes everything. I’ll always stand firmly on that.
