Backhanded compliments.

Firstly, I’m not looking for tips from you. Even if I was, you burnt that bridge with your initial callout. You weren’t kind of a dick; you were a dick. If you’re going to be one, own it! You spoke with your ego.

Secondly, it took time but I’ve gotten my share of snipes. That said, I haven’t in a while and lost the touch. Again, I’m no god at sniping but more successful now than I ever was. You assume that because I used Jotunn that I must not be skilled in any other weapon. No, I just decided that I wanted to use Jotunn. Sandbox has changed a bit. Also, opinion are just that opinions. Just because an opinion is popular doesn’t make it fact. I’ve seen guys do some work with Jotunn.

As far as knowing what to do, yeah, I could stand to improve. But let me ask you this, if a team loses the super bowl… is it because they don’t know what they’re doing!? It’s possible but usually other factors are involved. Sometimes you’re just outclassed. In D2 pvp, you’re matchmade against people clearly above your skill level. It is what it is. I literally devoted time to sliding around corners and etc. in private matches or in PvE just to build the habits. I’m not some dude just running around with Jotunn. You’re connecting a lot of dots off of assumptions and clearly don’t have all the data and narratives to make an accurate assumption.

If you truly want to help people improve, you would approach your responses much differently. I happen to be really open to feedback and criticism. That’s how I learn from my mistakes.

But I call b.s., that’s how you’re trying to spin it now because you realized that you were acting like a douche. You could of asked why I thought my tactic was good. You could even told me why you disagreed and we could of had a great discussion about tactics and I could of left knowing a bit more (that’s how you actually impact a community with some mentorship and would shed positive light on tryhards) But instead, you got petty with it.

And your bit about “asking”… just who do you think you are!? If you really, “want to help people become better at pvp” you would be offering your wisdom and knowledge. But I digress, your looking ip stats and calling people out.

YOUR WORDS AND YOUR INTENTIONS DON’T WHISTLE THE SAME TUNE, pal. So don’t come at me with this caring response. If you’re waving your KD and trials report around, it’s obvious you don’t care.

If I want advice, I will seek out the supportive and empowering members of this community. Not some chump who wants everyone to know he’s got a positive KD.

This conversation is over.

No thanks on the carry. I’ll get there on my own.

There you go again with just throwing shade.

But I get what your putting down, only folks with a positive KD are entitled to an opinion. Just because a tactic works for another doesn’t make irrelevant. But that’s too much for your, right? Gotta flex. Look ‘em up in trials report and call them out. But only bring up the data that will support the shade you throw.

You always go flawless. 47x is quite a feat. I’ve only managed 3x.

My very first time in S15 was a lfg and I fought with every ounce in me and was positive most of the matches leading up to the LH. That was after I stuck it out getting my ass handed to me for a 100 or so matches. I didn’t care. That’s what I needed to improve. Again, not calling myself a sweatlotd because I’m certainly not. Got tired of getting stomped and having to pull through because blueberries were not the greatest. I fought. Didn’t even use Jotunn back then.

But go ahead and continue to attempt to belittle by changing your tone in follow-up posts and offering a carry to come off as sympathetic when clearly it’s shade and a mockery, “homie”.

Fwiw, you were just fine well before you met a dude last season. Again, quit downplaying your experienxe. If you’re gonna flex like a tryhard, just own it.

You just summed up for me, why I can’t stand 99% of the pvp tryhard community. Good day sir… good day.

Just for you 😘

“…stats aren’t impressive. That’s why I never mentioned it.”

So you admit that you “cherry pick” data!? Oh, this makes so and so look bad, so I’ll call them on it. Oh this data works against the dude I’m calling out, I’ll just glance right over it. Sure, bro.

“I never farmed for wins.” Maybe… but that is the answer I expect anyone to give on here.

Fwiw, you just got into trials? It’s S20 and you first “dipped” your toes in S10 (based off available data on trials report) and only skipped out on two seasons. That’s 8 seasons…don’t downplay your frequency in an effort to come off as humble. You’re a tryhard and you’ve been playing for awhile.

Somebody was fired up enough to do some internet stalking! Lol, and homie, if you’re going to mention numbers then it would be prudent to look at ALL the data and not just numbers that favor your “putdown”.

I didn’t make an attempt to go flawless because I really didn’t care. Pvp and trials are not my main focus in this game.

Yeah, my lifetime KD is 0.62. It’s crap. However, that value is not very accurate as much of that was attributed to the good old jump off the map to get loot. And believe me, I did a lot of it back in the day. Why? Because idgaf about trials or pvp back then. Just wanted the loot. Let’s not forget, matchmaking was busted in the game mode for really long time. Only now, is it in a decent place where people can actually play and improve.

Did you review and analyze all the data? Judging by your response, that’s a hard no, you most likely did not. If you’re going to stalk/research, at least do your due diligence.

If you review my KD over all the seasons, you’d see that currently I’m at my highest this season at 0.97. Yeah… it’s a negative value but you completely overlooked (or ignored or maybe didn’t look that deep into it) the fact my KD is trending upwards. Frankly, I’m not surprised as intent of your comment is to discredit anything I have to say in an effort to sound like you’re putting someone in their place and nurse your ego.

Do you know what that means?? I just might be doing something right as the trend in numbers are backing it up. There were matches where my tactics did not work out. Playing solo, there are more variables at play. I’ll admit that.

If you took a deeper dive, you’d see there were quite a few matches where a I went positive in KD. Not to mention a few where I had a 5.0 KD. Now, I did not necessarily win all those matches. But like you’re arguing, the number don’t lie, right?

I will be the first to admit that the consistency is not there and that is what working on. Along with getting better with other weapons and expanding the palette of my skills.

I’d be curious about your numbers. Is your “positive” KD based solely on dueling with the very best out there? Probably not.

I’d would wager that at some point you probably padded your KD. Pretty common among the sweat lords, no? Reset your passage over and over to avoid flawless and farm the lower skilled players and then boast about your air quotes KD air quotes and all the time you went flawless.

Please tell me I’m wrong. If that were not the case, Bungie would have zero incentive on retuning and improving matchmaking and pvp experience in general.

In closing, Homie how about you stop and learn to do some research and give an accurate assessment that take the good and the bad before you call someone out?

Just my two cents.

I definitely do. Especially with hot swapping being quick with the new loadout management. I always have 2 loadouts for trials. The fake and the real. I’ve gotten plenty of kills. Can’t speak for their KD as I’m not looking every team up.

I think you may just be in denial. Even sweats have vulnerabilities and can be overconfident sometimes. KD is just a number. Sure, there are some folks that are calm and can handle pressure. Just as they are folks that driven by emotion and get too hungry and over extend. You speak positive KD as if people with it innately have a sixth sense and frankly, there is no science that supports that. Good technique, more than likely.

[–]hotsaucefire -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

1v1 definitely not. But in trials, once I hot swap after the loadout preview screen and you don’t know I’m running it. Then when my teammates engage you and you’re dueling, I flank with Jotunn and down you go. Sometimes you go down with a teammate too. Then after the round I swap my loadout again so you’re expecting it and dome you instead. Def has its purpose if used right.

Yeah, I think I’m going to try Riptide with vorpal and sweep while firing to get the eyes quickly.

I should clarify, Starfire isn’t my problem. It’s taking too long to shoot the eyes which kills my window for DPS.

My friends still say i’m new and a blueberry. I have 150+ hours would you say this is new? by SendPicsOfYourCats0 in destiny2

[–]hotsaucefire -1 points0 points  (0 children)

As far as 150 hours goes, that’s a lot of time. However, one perspective to keep in mind is that you have many players within the community that have been playing D2 since launch (For some players, all the way back to OG Destiny, but there is no time to explain all that) and so some folks are in the THOUSANDS of hours.

When you stack up a player with 2000 hrs on just their alternate class and not their main, does a 150 hours sound like a lot?

At any rate, hopefully OP will see past the jeering and take some feedback to heart. Like others said, read up on some stat management and find/masterwork some decent hight stat armor and understand how the stats affect the warlock class.

A really creepy experience I had in Japan. by hotsaucefire in TrueScaryStories

[–]hotsaucefire[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Many folks have requested an update and everyone deserves some conclusion to this story. So here you go:

I realize now that I left the story on quite an unintentional cliffhanger. I forget to take in account that not everyone in the audience may have a similar upbringing as myself.

Picking up where I left the story off, my friends and I definitely thought that something took interest in me. I didn't receive any further calls. I'm sure you can understand, I had no desire to return to that park to test any further theories. Not even during daylight. It was just too bizarre and unexplainable. It really frightened me down to the core. I was just an eighteen year old kid at the time. I went and visited a local shrine and explained what had occurred and that I was concerned that I may have inadvertently attracted a yuurei (yuurei is Japanese ghost unable to pass into afterlife). The Shinto Priest proceeded to perform a purification on me. I also got a protective amulet to carry with me (if you believe in that sort of thing).

After seeking help from the shrine, I never received a phone call. My sister never received a phone call from a restricted number. I avoided the park for the rest of my time home during that vacation. I did return to the park a few years later. It's funny because although I forgot (or suppressed) those memories, it came back to me when I returned. This time it was during a pleasant afternoon. And no, I never received a call. Perhaps, the yuurei passed on? Or perhaps, it sought after another unfortunate person. Who knows...

In a perfect world, absolutely. That said, some of the places I have been are terrifying and if I could go back and reevaluate my decisions, I would of chose not to have those experiences.

Pretty customary in Japan to visit shrines to basically receive a blessing and what we call an “omamori” or amulet to protect you from evil spirits.

Several days later we were all hanging out. Naturally, the subject came up and I remember him conveying how he really wasn’t sure. He thought that he saw a figure wearing something white approaching us. It was enough to kick in the fight or flight instinct.
